Let's predict the final then (none of us has it in his predictions on 'Hansie's' site)

Mine: Spain-Italy 1-0.

BBC TV commentary after Baloteli stood there with with his shirt off having scored his second against German...

Commentator: "He's giving a message to the world".

Mark Lawrenson: "yeah... he's saying I'm a nutter".

Come on Italy.

I hope for Italy since i think the spanish style with the endless midfield passing is extremly boring.

Rainer Bonhof from Germany is the only player who won Euro twice in 1972 and 1980 and he didn't play any game during this tournaments. 12 Spanish players have chance to be winners for the second time, but everyone of them played at least one game.

I think some changes in Italy team for this evening.
There are 4 defenders,Chiellini,Barzagli,Bonucci and Balzaretti. but Spain have only one "punteros".
Maibe Prandelli put in Giovinco (i hope!).
Spanish people and italian people are brothers, i'm happy if Spain win too.
salute my spanish friend, Silvertrain from Barcelona and Xavier from La Coruna

Have been hearing on the radio in the States about the massive racism in Europe about the dude who plays for Italy and Manchester, the black dude, Mario Balotelli. What's Europe's problem? They hate black people? Sounds a bit... funny. Especially seeing how Eruopeans give American's such shit sometimes. Can someone explain?

There are apparent problems with racism in some countries in the former "Eastern Block" and Russia (including its satellite states). Many of them "second world" countries. Of course there are problems with racism in Western Europe too, like in the U.S., but not stated in this way (one exception is perhaps Italy). The former countries i mentioned aren't multicultural countries, (countries with big immigration from Asia and Africa) so they aren't very accustomed to, for example, black men.

The german - "my" - team can play the most attractive football, but unfortunately they don´t have the last punch to win a big title. It´s sad, but they are (since 2006), that´s the fact, a looser team. Like Holland, playing terrific good football, but unable to win anything. Two reasons for us germans:

1. No succes at all in the Champions or Euro League since 2001! IMO one german team has to win a big title, but Bayern is booked on second places there and Dortmund has to start this thing next season, last one was a shame. It´s kind of a psycho-thing!

2. The lack of the ultimate will to win and, yep, a little lack of "teamgeist", the very last will to fight until the end for the others, puking blood ...

So we will see us again in 2014 .....

Good luck for BELLA ITALIA against Spain, I´m with you, hoping for an italian victory!

Now, you and me have realized how the English feel...
Unfortunately, other countries have Golden Generations too.
I'm sure even in Brazil 2014 a European team will win the cup.

Spain: Iker Casillas; Arbeloa, Piqué, Sergio Ramos, Jordi Alba; Xabi Alonso, Busquets; Silva, Xavi, Iniesta; y Cesc.

Italia: Buffon; Abate, Barzagli, Bonucci, Chiellini; Pirlo, De Rossi, Marchisio, Montolivo; Cassano y Balotelli.

Muenke, it seems like teams who are very convincing in the group stages have a trouble keeping this form over more than three matches in a row. When Brazil, for example, played their most beautiful samba football they seldom won the tournaments. Maybe it's not possible to play an impressive attacking game and win six or seven matches in a row?

Wonderful attack by Spain and a good goal as well: Spain-Italy 1-0, and it's well deserved. Italy invisible thus far.

Spain have saved their best till last. They will be worthy champions and are now on the way to becoming one of the best national teams of all time.

True, but between both (brilliant) goals Spain wasn't playing attractively at all. But defensively and effectively. Pirlo and Baloteli are in trouble. Maybe we'll see Di Natale yet, but it seems a lost case for the brave Italians.

With spaces Spain is unbeatable, if Italy go forward a container of goals for Spain but knowing Del Bosque they're gonna sleep the match and contro, tiki taka!
