Neither the awful campaing against Spaniard with the doping with Contador, Casillas, Gasol or Nadal could not beat the Spaniards, what happened now?
Awful match, no shots at the second half, but playing bad we win, next one, Portugal with the brat Ronaldo.

yes I'm quite close to think that too
Since 2006, we've been playing like goats !
I think it's time to fire all these fuc...g ass..les players like benzema, malouda, diarra, méxès, m'vila etc...
the only ones who deserve to continue are Lloris, Ribéry, Nasri, Menez, Giroud, Cabaye.
what do my compatriots think of that ?

sorry I forgot to say Bravo to Spain !
they played a very smart game, they did the minimum and didn't have to force their talent.

I love the little guy with the purple camera; w/ the German ears.
Or how about the black haired woman spectator, in between the two blonde heads? Politely chuckling while covering her mouth ?? what's up w/ that?

thumbs down French team is a big joke, nothing is really important for them except bonuses! They are not enjoyed playing. Half of them have nothing to do with the team, they play and pay taxes out of France. That's us we pay their bonuses with our taxes. I am happy they are going back home. They had already win 100000 euros each for reaching the 1/4 final.

Modern sports are like religions : you have to be a believer. If you don't have the faith you see it's full of lies.

Go Germany go!

Oh man, don't worry. This whole story applies to almost all if not all teams in the EK. Come on, it's not only the French national team, it's 'modern football'. It's all about money, egos, commerce and corruption. Better watch the amateurs or the whatever division where money doesn't rule the game totally yet. And believe me, often you enjoy those games more than the chess play we saw yesterday evening. Money has ruined almost all great sports.

I think that people living in countries where soccer is not popular are not reading this thread.

But if some are doing it out of curiosity it is good to note that yesterday (in an ugly fixture) Spain did a very dificult thing...turn an excellent team as France into a bunch of teenagers suffering a dreadful hangover, serving as training dummies.

Well I read this thread because I'm interested in how Stones fans view the beautiful game. It's a different perspective than the one you get from the hardcore football forum message boards - much more rational and entertaining dialogue.

A BBC commentator about 20 years ago described the USA, in terms of football interest, as an "island in N. America". Well these days this island has joined the global football community and our media has grudgelingly accepted that fact.

Prediction for today: ENG 1-1 ITA. ITA advances on penalties.

He's the number one TV-reporter according to the NOS as for football and speedskating. Very popular among the common man, the inhabitants of the people's quarters in The Hague for example.

30 Minutes of England-Italy 0-0. But man, what an exciting match so far. Opportunities for both teams. What a spirit. Sure hope they can keep this up.

Spectacular match. First 0-0 this EC.
Let's see if one team decides it during the extension. Italy is slightly better, I think.
But England has strong defenders.

I want to get lost in your rock 'n roll and drift away

Italy obviously the better team, but it didn't use its chances yet. Maybe in the last 15 minutes. But I didn't see a real champion tonight. Anyway, much more entertaining than yesterday's match.

Great match. Both teams tired now.But Italy's not only slightly better IMO. Because the English team doesn't benefit from it's defensive approach. They're as tired now as the Italians and hardly get near the Italian goal at all. If they succeed it's more because of Italy's inability to score.

There is no one better if they don't score........................in other words if your better you win...............if you don't your not better

Pirlo show, Italia deserves to be in semifinals.
For me best teams so far Italy and Spain, but I'm afraid at penalties England's gonna win.
