In football I'm 100% neutral NICOS. But I would liked it if the Greeks had won. They can use some fun over there. But the quality difference is much too big.

Curious about what happens when you´re just 50% neutral...

Anyway, congrats to Portugal and Germany going to half-final.

One can be 100% neutral as for the football played by whatever team and still sympatize with one team or another. Or can't you see the difference?

I don't sympathize with the German national team or Bayern München for instance. Never did. But I can judge their way of playing objectively though. Is that so strange?

Not at all...same with me as you probably realized meanwhile.

Has someone got some extra points for the poule?

I see that Fred has gone up from 118 to 148 !!!
That's 30 points. How did he do that ?

And now he has gone up to 173 points !!
I sincerely suspect some foul play here LOL
Now if only I could predict american football as well as this.winking smiley

It was no surprise but congratulations to Germany anyway !

Oh come on the Froggies Company, give us a miracle tonight against Spain !
Méxès is out and it's fortunate
Diarra, Malouda, Ben Arfa, Benzema deserve to be out too...let them go back home !

Germany have played quality football so far but it is not always the best team that wins as could well be the case if Italy beat England and play Germany in the semi-final. Germany have never beaten Italy in a competition as far as I can remember and I'm not looking forward to meeting them this time either. Anyway, should be another great match tonight.

I'm personally a bit disturbed at the fact that Silver Dagger has become German, all of a sudden!

Gazza, if I remember well, Silver has said that his parents are German.

But come on Silver, let's hear you! What about the German team yesterday evening and do you have any feelings for the English team (given your first name and the fact (if I'm not wrong) that you're born on English soil?

Sorry, I,ve been on holiday and missed these comments. Gazza, my dad was German and I have a German passport. I supported them after watching the 66 final and not thinking the third England goal was fair. Blame it on fate. Plus I think they generally try to play good football. And Kleermaker, of course I want England to win after that. But whenever England play Germany being a German supporter in England is taking your life into your hands which is why I try to be on holiday for World Cups and Euro tournaments.

Germany has played properly, not very well. Problems and luck during the match against Portugal, Holland wasn't a shadow of an opponent, problems with the modest Danes. The Greek were too weak (symbol: their goalkeeper).

Germany hasn't impressed me yet. I hope they have to play against Spain. That will be their crucial test (litmus test, as we say in Holland). I'm looking forward to that game.

England is rather weak and Italy too precarious, just like France.

It's an entertaining tournament thus far, but not of high quality at all.

Is the rivalry between England and Germany even bigger than the rivalry between Germany and Holland?

Silver, are you also born in Germany?

I'm a lifelong fan of German national team, but I would not put them in the final yet. It is very possible that they will meet up with Italy in Semis. Italy has a habit of beating them; no matter how weak Italy looks at tournament beginning; they find a way of squeaking through; sometimes on ties.

Everything's ready very ULTRA conservative France, and Spain, again without a 9, like against Italy,

Spain: Casillas; Arbeloa, Piqué, Ramos, Alba; Xabi, Busquets; Silva, Xavi, Iniesta; and Cesc.

France: Lloris; Reveillere, Rami, Koscielny, Clichy; Debuchy, M'Vila, Cabaye, Malouda, Ribery; Benzema.

France's 84 generation wonSpain European under 17 France with Menez, Nasri, Ben Arfa or Benzema, in Spain were Piqué or Cesc in 2004.

Game over: penalty and 2-0 for Spain. A disappointing and bad match. France powerless, Spain not convincing at all. I didn't see a champion tonight.

Disagree. I liked England-France, but this match had the effect of a good sleeping pill.
