Stones Day in London 24 May 2012

I got a Stones double whammy in London today.

1. Saw Charlie Watts in the front passenger seat (no other Stones on board) of a sleek black Mercedes gliding around Park Crescent near Regent's Park mid-afternoon.

2. Elvis Costello delivered a crackin' rendition of "Out of Time" at the Royal Albert Hall in the evening.

The legendary Nick Lowe got up on three songs too, including "What's So Funny About Peace, Love and Understanding."

Cheers,
SonicD

Sorry I missed the London EC shows. I saw four in the UK the previous week - all were great. Chris Difford came up for two Squeeze tunes in Brighton.

Great that you saw Charlie!

Are you sure it wasn't Gwyneth Paltrow without makeup ?: [www.iorr.org]

Which Squeeze tunes???

Cool For Cats and Up The Junction?

Squeeze are great. I caught them at the indigo - theatre within the London 02 Arena - and they blew me away. I have seen Tilbrook solo a couple of times. They're south London boys and Tilbrook still lives in the area. If you're lucky, you might catch him at the Pelton Arms pub in Greenwich. It's his local and gets on stage every now and then.
