Yesterday's episode was no different than the countless ones I've seen from this season or last season or two seasons ago. The show has always been funny...only people who are holding on to the old cast dismiss the show.

Kristen Wiig is great at voices and physical comedy and she also manages to find something very real--and even tragic--at the core of her characters where they resemble people we all know from real life.
I will miss her because I think she really carried the show during her run. I've been watching SNL off and on since the first episode (with Billy Preston as musical guest, right off the TOTA '75! ) and I think she is possibly the funniest cast member ever, which is saying something because there have been quite a few greats over the years.
The farewell to her last night was a great, great moment. Very moving.

The tragic thing, and the flights where you're not sure where she is taking you; she reminds me of the great Catherine O'Hara of SCTV. That's a huge compliment in my mind.

Must be missing the whole sexy thing. Maybe she is the sexiest girl on SNL but that's not saying much.
She's extremely average at best.

It's a matter of taste. Wiig isn't the hotsy totsy bootylishish slut type most men seem to go for these days. Wiig is off beat, unique, and exudes intelligence. Far sexier to me.
