Thought Jagger sang really well, he certainly could do a tour! It's the first time I've ever seen SNL and I'm still in shock, what a truely awful, cringing, schmaltzy, sicophantic piece of shite TV. Christ, I though some British tv was getting bad but that takes the biscuit. Please BBC don't ever let us descend to these levels.

Thanks EB. IORR is really good. Close to the original. The thing is, the Stones could never have managed this. Even jagger's voice is better.

Mick was great- "The Last Time" was awesome!! I do not see any thing holding back a World Tour.

They probably never wanted to "manage" that version either, as it was recorded by Kenney Jones, Willie Weeks and Ronnie Wood, with Keith and Mick adding their bits + wiping Ronnie´s electric guitar track - hence they made their own version later on...

Sure, Dandelion. The sad thing however is that they haven't been able to do justice to hardly any song live for quite a long time. The Foo Fighters managed to reinvigorate IORR to something very close to the original, but still with a live feeling to it.

Foo haters will be Foo haters.
The Stones haven't performed IORR as good as Jagger did last night in at least 25 years.

Agreed - I have sans complaints - seemed like a joyous occasion all around.
I guess I don't understand why some people keep insisting on what this was NOT (often linked largely to their own desire for wish fulfillment) rather than for what it WAS!
I think it was cool as shit Mick played with these 2 relevant and talented bands. And it doesn't mean ANYTHING re: whether the Stones will or will not eventually play again. This was Mick's damn night and he was wonderful, as were the people he played with. I am SO elated Mick's this into it! Bully for him!
