More stability for Ronnie Wood as girlfriend moves in with him

Good news for Ronnie and Stones fans in general. Ronnie's girlfriend has moved in with him. He's been sober for a long while and this can only mean be good news for Stones touring plans.

Here's the story from today's Daily Telegraph (UK)

Ronnie Wood told friends after he began his love affair with Sally Humphreys, a 34-year-old theatre producer, that they would take things slowly.

The Rolling Stones guitarist’s relationship has, however, gathered speed and Humphreys has moved into his house in Holland Park, west London.

“It’s going really well,” a sober Wood tells Mandrake while sipping coffee at a fundraising dinner at Claridge’s for Marie Curie Cancer Care, hosted by Heather Kerzner. “I’m really happy in general. I’m loving work, the new show on Sky Arts is doing really well and Sally is such a lovely girl.”

After the dinner, Wood, who turns 65 next week, took to the stage for an impromptu performance of Mustang Sally in tribute to his new love.

Her decision to live with the musician will add some spice to their neighbourhood. Wood told me in February that Ana Araújo, 30, a Brazilian model, from whom he split last October, had “moved in two doors down from me”. He added, jokingly: “She’s become the neighbour from hell.”

I don't know. I guess its the same with some really bad horror movie, in the end you always wonder why you watched it.

Sorry, but these threads about Ron Wood's personal life and struggles are kind of pathetic. We are all supposed to root for this 65-year old man to finally behave like a normal adult, and when he manages to do so we are all supposed to act like it's some sort of major accomplishment. As for the Stones' touring plans, it means nothing.
