Mick played Miss You at the White House this year, their year of the 50th. Where is the outrage to that? Is there some sort of golden rule that states that bands that are celebrating an anniversary must do so on SNL? Who says Mick is celebrating? Are there going to be balloons and a cake? Maybe Mick playing with others is a way to get a new and younger audience interested for when The Stones do get together to do something. Or maybe it truly is over. If it's over, then GET OVER IT! You know it was going to happen eventually. So why be angry? If Mick did sign up for SNL months ago and Keith is unable to play or some other factor is involved in The Stones not performing, then good for Mick for keeping his word and getting something different going and staying on as host.
Mick has been trying to get a new and younger audience for 25 years.
Looks like he has finally succeeded.

If the Stones are done, why is Ronnie shooting his mouth off, AGAIN, about a possible Oct-Nov show or shows??

This is seriously getting to the point to where many of us, here snd on the other boards, are fighting about the SNL gig! Everyone has thier opinion about what should be played, who should be there, if MICK should perform with other bands, if the Stones could make an appearance or not, etc. At this point MICK should do a comedy sketch about the Rolling Stones Fans obsessing about MICK's SNL appearance! Now THAT would be hilarious!

Ronnie does pretty good PR for himself, I think! You think Mick put him up to " leaking" the word on Oct-Nov dates? I'm not sure I buy that one. When I saw the Stones during their last tour, Ronnie had a banana on stage and was starting to peel it and eat it and Mick charged over to him and appeared to scold him for eating it. I photographed the various stages of the scolding....was it part of the show....I don't know, I had never seen that before!
