I can't believe that I've been loving that album for forty years. I loved it from the first time I heard it.

The Karnbach bible says May 12,1972. I'm going to check Amazon to see if there's a 40th anniversary remaster.

You're right, I got my first copy in 1972!! And then went to my first Stones concert....in 1972.

And I'm away from home where all of my 'bibles' are stored. But do the math....2012 - 1972 = 40.

I guess this will deserve a play in it's entirety today!

It's been a jazz morning, with Dave Brubeck but it will be a Exile afternoon selling lemonade!

In the process of creating a lemonade stand for the kids. They want to charge 25 cents a glass...I think that is the going rate from 1972, so it will be fitting for the 40th anniversary!

I remember when it was released and a LA radio station played it straight through, side by side with breaks in between. I was in a busy laundromat just east of the Forum. I raced back and forth between the laundry and my car radio to hear the next side. I got scolded by a lady for not moving my laundry along, but I wasn't going back in until the side was done and the break came. I would hear some of those songs live on two occasions in the next 7 months (or so) right down the road at the Forum.

A highly successful lemonade sale today, on a beautiful day, with exile blasting for the entire sale!

All down the Line seemed to get the most grooving with the staff and clients, although my personal fave today was 'Just Wanna See His Face' strangely enough.

Just a great day...happy 40th Exile!

I haven't listened to the Stones in a long time, but I listened to Exile all day today, starting yesterday......I didn't even realize it was an anniversary....
I must have felt it.

I was born on 12/05/1972 so I am also 40. Is nice to have been born on the same day as my favourite album!
