I agree, I was thinking the same thing. This could be pretty cool! I was never expecting The Stones. And at these guys are rockers and some interesting eclectic approach might be refreshing. Better than him playing with Pooperheave. That would have been a tragedy. This could be cool!

The more Mick Jagger appears with the younger groups the better. Especially on a vehicle such as SNL. Even my 11 year old niece (who is a huge fan of SNL) knows who Mick Jagger is now. Wise move by Jagger (and the Stones) regardless if the rest of the Stones appear with him or not.

I am still of the opinion that whatever 'sessions' happened in London and NY, it was informal and without any real purpose. And I still think that Jagger told the rest he would not tour with the Stones in 2012, or that Richards told them he is in no shape to play a gig, let alone tour.

I am of the opinion that everything with these guys is carefully planned out well in advance. Of course we won't know for sure until it all plays itself out, but to think that Mick Taylor would be on Jimmy Fallon just a week or so before Mick appears on SNL (and the rehearsals) is purely coincidental defies logic. There is definitely something up but we may not know for sure for a few months. Or maybe we know come SNL? Can't wait. Hope it is sooner than later.

Two bands on SNL to back Mick? Sounds odd to me. I still think Keith, or MT, or all Stones could appear on that stage on the 19th. The possibility clearly remains.

Doesnt everyone have wall mounted computer Tv screens? I thought that was standard these days.

Dont worry cm, if you ask us to, we will keep you posted which songs they play.... hmmmm which one will they play first... lets see.... I might bet on.... ummmmm..... fk I am not sure.... It will be one that would be easy to nail.... sounds freeking great.... is timely..... one the children will recognize and like...... it is a good question.... what song will thye play?

How can anyone really believe in a smokescreen? The stones are not that big anymore.

We either get Mick Jagger or the rolling stones but the 2 don't mix. Mick likes to compartmentalize. This time around he promotes his brand not the band!

They are a very good band. Very good. Especially live.
Go with the first album - the whole Neighborhood suite, and then the big one "Wake Up".
While they are one of my fave bands this is a lousy choice by Jagger - not at all his type of band. they are not about sex. Is he trying to stay with the new generation, or just trying to follow Bowie?
Bowie's appearance with them is totally different than this. First off Bowie saw that this was a great band real early on, and just wanted to sing with them. he was one of their idols. But Bowie has a lot of facets that Jagger does not have at all.
I am really let down. I had been thinking Foo Fighters all along, then when terry confirmed I couldn't believe it. FF are loud and crunchy but have no roll at all.

Thanks for listening advice. I'll check it out. Staying current with new music is often WORK. I try very hard to stay away from "new music today sucks" because that's what prejudiced & biased old farts ALWAYS say about new music. At the same time, its very hard to not believe that its actually true - that new music DOES in fact stink.

I've seen them in concert...they are so boring. Radiohead opened for and completely eviscerated them.

..if true poor choice and timing....I would respect Superheavy backing Mick...but this is contrived.
