I gained a lot of respect for the Foo Fighters when they opened for the Police a couple years back. They were great and made the Police look like irrelevant old money grabbing at some cash.

As for Arcade Fire I keep hearing about them and maybe this will be a chance to see what they're all about.

We'll get the Stones when it's time to get the Stones. They have to get their chops together.

I agree, I was thinking the same thing. This could be pretty cool! I was never expecting The Stones. And at these guys are rockers and some interesting eclectic approach might be refreshing. Better than him playing with Pooperheave. That would have been a tragedy. This could be cool!

I don't see anything has changed. That the Stones would play is speculation and if they do it'll be a surprise gig. That still can happen.

Win Butler from Arcade Fire is a cool guy and he has great taste. Of course Bowie played with them on TV years ago so Jagger is up to his usual. At least the band has some pop firepower. The Foos are lumpen and do not swing.

Never thought the Stones were going to play but still disappointed that it's true. Again, it's sort of like a Hall of Fame style tribute with the younger bands joining in. Pretty lame but not necessarily a full blot on the future.

I can find a janitor in my local bar on a monday night who can sing better than Arcade Fire.

Foo Fighters and Arcade Fire. Neither are R & R bands. Pop bands at best. The Stones are rock & roll. Real rock & roll. This is just another Jagger and somebody else show. He must be bored with his semi retirement these days and needs to frolic with the youngsters once in awhile. I hope they do muster up a final tour some day but I just don't think a floundering comedy show is the best place to announce it.

I suggest we wait and see how it all unfolds. Should be an interesting evening and at worst one step closer to the real fireworks on tap. Whatever was going on in that studio is going to manifest itself in some form at some point I am sure.

It's very clear that Mick didn't want to carry the whole circus again, he's a semi retired musician now.

The best we can get is a couple of big shows next year, a 15-song warhorse setlist and then goodbye.

I respect your opinion on this. You have a realistic view, but answer me this... Why do SNL?

Btw, IMHO A Bigger Bang would have been a much stronger tour had Ronnie been turned up in the mix.
