Day of last show of 2007 tour: Sunday, August 26, 2007
Today: Saturday, May 5, 2012

It is 1714 days from the start date to the end date, or 4 years, 8 months, 9 days


This is not unprecedented.

From: Saturday, December 19, 1981 (hampton)
To: Thursday, August 31, 1989 (philly)

It is 2812 days from the start date to the end date, Or 7 years, 8 months, 12 days

From: Wednesday, November 22, 2006 (los angeles)
To: Saturday, May 5, 2012

It is 1991 days from the start date to the end date, Or 5 years, 5 months, 13 days

I wouldn't pay to see those old men run through their hits anymore. No way. But I have no interest in seeing Keef and Ronnie's eroded skills or Mick being a caricature of a caricature of his former self, though his voice still sounds great. As for Charlie, he still does his thing - maybe he could just play a two hour solo and the other guys can put on a puppet show with Mick narrating?

They were in their 40's during the last big gap...they're 70-ish now.

THAT is unprecedented.
