Don't call me "honey".

Get over it, Keith does RS's song when he goes solo, they all do. Who cares, we got to have SOME RS's. Yeah I would prefer the whole band, but what can you do, be happy with what you get - they don't owe you shit.

I thought Mick was excellent - extremely animated and charming. He shone bright in an otherwise dim-witted show. I haven't been a regular viewer since the days of Acroyd, Steve Martin, and Bill Murray. And after seeing it tonight, I don't feel I've missed much. The writing is abysmal. Is it that hard to be amusing?

Musically, I thought Arcade & Mick were GREAT on The Last Time. But the Foo Fighters left me cold, and I thought their rendition of IORR was heavy handed at best.

Regardless, it was great to see Mick looking so good! Yay Mick!! drinking smiley

Woaaahhh... Ease up on the language. Mick goes on SNL and we get a cat fight on the boards?

Arcade Fire and Mick did great on The Last Time. Other than that it was just fine and fun. Great episode as far as SNL goes. For those who haven't seen it in decades, you wont get it. For those of us who watch regularly, it was solid.

Foo Fighters just don't have any heart in their guitar work. IORR made me feel like we had Ringo Star on drums. Foo Fighers are a solid band (and their drummer is technically a beast) but IORR needs that solid driving beat afforded by Charlie.

Mick looks like he's ready for a final tour. I am inclined to believe what others have said regarding Keith being the weak link. He has provided no evidence of the ability to play guitar. Keith's playing has been the soundtrack to my life, and the reason I am currently learning guitar after putting it off for well over a decade... But we don't know if he can play.

Jagger on SNL was great.

I didn't think you could use that word on this board!

Awesome. And you're point-blank right. Some of these whiners sound like 13-year olds. Mick is too active, curious, alive to wait around for Keith to get moving, so he moves without him.
But he's always there when Keith is ready, so people need to shut the @#$%& up.

possibly but i doubt it. MJ wouldn't do that to them.

likelier keith couldn't cut it at rehearsals, so MJ went with plan B, saving them from monstrous embarrassment on live TV.

Exactly right. Taylor, Jagger, Watts, Wood, Wyman are all active musically, doing what they do. No reason to blame them for anything. They don't have to stop because Keith stopped.
