Stop hoping. There will be no more tours along the lines that we are used to. Anyone hoping for a "tour announcement" is setting him/herself up for disappointment. They will do single shows or residencies - if that.

Thats certainly true, but there have been the odd exceptions here and there.. The Chilites doing "Have you Seen Her" for one going way back.
Well, Mick Taylor is about town at that time. They could perform "Plundered My Soul" properly with him.
Certainly the timing seems a bit off with that, but the Jagger appearance in any form seems out of any recognizable context to begin with at this point, so who knows .... I am quite looking forward to it though, especially so since it's not obvious what will happen.

he played two songs off Wandering Spirit, but if memory serves me right, Luke Perry was the host that night. When you host you do the opening monalogue and skits.

The hosts are the only ones holding up SNL these days. The show has gone steadily downhill over the years. Sure there is a steady stream of people who star on SNL then make some bad movies that people flock to for some reason but the last really great SNL cast was the one with Eddie Murphy and Joe Piscopo. Over the last fifteen years or so the skits are about as funny as testicular cancer.
It will be interesting to see Jagger and Eli Manning too.

Oh my god, Bill just boarded a boat for NYC!! Mick Taylor's extended his visa for the U.S.!! Keith, Ronnie & Charlie are holed up in a rehearsal studio in lower Manhattan!! I guess he will host the program and take part in some skits. I don't think he will perform any songs.
He will probably market some 50 year jubilee merchandise though, however not revealing anything about a tour. Probably...

Hey, I am taking a break from my usual cynicism and joining the Wishful Thinkers! Stones in New York, Taylor in NY, Jagger hosting SNL - all around the same time. If they don't do something exciting what a wasted opportunity!
