That syncopated rythym on the wah pedal is one of the coolest opening guitar moments. And a lot harder than it looks or sounds.

The intro to Shaft is a defining moment in my teenagehood. I remember really great parties, drinking my first beers and getting it on with groovy chicks to the sound of Ike, The Temptations, Curtis Mayfield and Marvin Gaye. Ah, those were the days!
