If I had to guess it'l be Keith until recently.

Pre-1995 or so? Keith's was better by far. Now? It's like asking me if I want a nail driven into the left side of my skull or the right side. OK, I'm joking. Keith has done a lot of great stuff, but I miss his sweet, high, voice. Ronnie is more of a challenge for me to listen to, but I still play his first solo album. smoking smiley

Hard for me to say really. Keith's singing voice seems to have been a bit more expressive in my opinion, though they're both very limited obviously. So, I am tempted to go with Keith, but at the same time Keith's voice bores me and grates on my ears after more than three songs, whereas Woods' doesn't for some reason, so its a toss up.

Keith's.
i still like Ronnie's too, though. it hasn't aged too well, but i'm always glad to hear Ronnie sing.
Keith's voice keeps getting more and more expressive and depthful.

i miss the two of them singing together - ahhhh now that was a thing of beauty! like no others can

2012? Bad voices!
Till 1978 - I like Keith !
Ronnie always had a terrible (LIVE) voice.

But damn, Ronnie sings beautifully in Dylan's 30 career anniversary ("Sevan Days", one of my ever favorites). Just listening to it. Simply woderful.

when I listen to "You got the silver" or "Thief in the night" or "Little t & a" it's not difficult to choose.
Keith has more feeling. His voice is warmer.

Always found Jaggers version of You Got The Silver a much better version, dont know why they used Richards vocals at all.

Really? The original? That's Keith at his best: Passionate, unschooled, emotionally real. Jagger sang it professionally, but Keith lived it.

Really? Keith by far. And in fact his singing voice now is quite strong. I think he sounds great on You Got the Silver on Shine a Light. And the tribute to Parsons, his singing on Love Hurts is great.

71 Tele, I liked Jagger's version better because, its a little more country, a little more up tempo and I dont like Richards voice other than the small part in Memory Motel.

Even though Ronnie's voice is kinda shot, I prefer listening to him sing over Keith. But yes, I get where you come from when you say there is more feeling in Keith's singing.

I think Silver is a real highlight on SAL but you can see why they cut most of Connection. Keith's the winner for me.

Keith on You Win Again (Hank Williams tribute - Timeless) is great.

Ronnie's on Ooh La La, Own Album, Now Look is also great. Feel Like Playing is ok(ish)

Neither of them have a singing voice. Ron's speaking voice is stronger though.

Keith had a perfect voice, he gave voice to all the guitarists out there from 1969 - 1972 really - to 1976. Or maybe 1978. 1981 was great too, naked and raw. From then on I cant listen to him. Too strained, trying too hard to be a singer, too crooning, too much trying to be Lou Reed or Tom Waits or lately, a real singer.

Thief in the night sounded great. Laidback, cool, angry needing to express something that was real.

Keith puts more soul into his vocals. But f I had to choose between Keith and Ronnie, I would choose Chuck. :>winking smiley

..the only reason why this is even coming up is because RW was so amazing last week in Atlantic City....that's what's really exciting.

Keith's vocal ability is worsening to my ears, but he's always possessed better vocal ability to Ronnie and always will. Ronnie just sounds pissed.

Up through Forty Licks, Keith, without a doubt. Now neither, although at least Ronnie hasn't gotten worse - he was just never good.
