Right on. Sort of like:
1. Randy Rhodes - idiot radio host - endorsed shooting Bush
2, Bill Maher wishing for the death of Dick Cheney
3. Keith Halloran- A New Hampshire Democratic candidate - wishing that Sarah Palin was on a plane that crashed and killed all on board.
4. Nathan Tabor - a Tea Party person - punched in the face by a Democrat.

Like that? Right?

And I condemn those too, but your choices are very selective and give a false sense of equivelancy, which I reject outright.

but if you dont have one, well, I understand.

btw- I wouldnt waste 5 seconds checking your stupid story without an easy link

Ah, but I do: The story was in The Stranger newspaper in Seattle April 25 edition, page 7. Here's the link to the Liveleak website which was their source: [www.liveleak.com]

Anyone who indulges in violent rhetoric deserves to be called out. It's Nugent that's stupid, not the story, (which of course is not "my" story, contrary to what you say, I merely quoted it). Nugent is a bully, and he doesn't seem to know the difference between political advocacy and violent threats against leaders.

I looked... there is no quick info anywhere you provided... not to mention "The Stranger newspaper" is the source? eye rolling smileyplease.

Waste of time.

It's in there. Believe what you want. The man's recent threats are public record. I call 'em as I see 'em. I don't think highly of people who violently threaten others, or who are so threatened by their political opponents being in power that they threaten violence - as he did very recently. You choose to not condemn that. Fine. I know where you stand. Let's move on, shall we?

You have no idea where I stand. I stated no opinon here.

Obviously metaphoric, and if you don't know the difference between using a metaphor and actually suggesting that the president be killed, I feel sorry for you.

...and then there is of course the house band for JimmY Fallon led by that dope quest-something or other who directed the band to perform an unbelievable disgusting song when Michelle Bachman was on. So I ask this, what would the media have said if the SAME song was played when, oh, say, Obama's wife went on the show? Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Doesn't hurt me at all. For the last time: Nugent is a blowhard with a big mouth who tells people who don't agree with him that they should leave the country, and violently threatened the president to the extent that he was paid a visit by the Secret Service. I didn't do or say ANY of those things, I merely pointed out that HE did. So, you can't defend his behavior or statements, what do you do? Make it about me of course! Classic "shoot the messenger". You want to claim Nugent for your side? Go ahead! I think he's a perfect emblem for today's far right. Maybe on that we can agree.

Anyway, gentlemen, I wish no one ill will. We will not agree on the merits of Mr. Nugent. I can accept that. Can you? There is a reason the moderator forbids political discussion, so for my part I will pull back from the brink before any more bad feeling arises. Can we agree on at least that much?

I am going outside for some fresh air on a nice day. There is much more to life than arguing with people on a computer. Peace, as one of members is fond of saying.

Oh sensitive one, I would never bash you. I might point out how you seem to bash everyone, and anyone, you ever talk about, or too, but that is not really bashing you, that is just an observation. It is always good to try to balance, try to say something nice about someone, somtime, not always with the hate.

OK, sir. Though why you have appointed yourself as the one who needs to always "remind" me of these things is something of a mystery to me, as I believe most people here can think for themselves and form their own judgments one way or the other. That's my observation. But, as I said, enough already. You can win, ok?

71Tele, so glad I read all of the posts just so I could get to yours! Perfectly stated. It seems to be more the truth these days that idiots like Nugent DO represent the far-right. You have to know that if the Secret Service-FBI paid a visit to this LUNATIC, it was serious shit he was spewing. Notice Nugent tried to back-track...it scared him shitless...big coward! Maybe they'll deport him. Bye Bye Teddy.

I like Ted all the way around. He says what he feels and plays a mean guitar. Do I agree with everything he says no but so what. I liks some of his music. I don't agree with Mick's views on most political issues or Bruce Springsteen does ot mean I don't enjoy thei music.

I was expecting the debate to be more... musical

Some here seem to dislike his music
To me, he's been influential to some more recent bands like The Darkness

I do not expect to find on Nugent records the same depth than on a Springsteen or Dylan record, but he's part of what I'd call enjoyable casual arena rock, like KISS or even in a way Motley Crue (which I do not appreciate personnaly)
