The video showing Keith opening the bottle of whiskey is priceless as was his entrance to the stage walking over the tables to get there. I miss the old Checkerboard. Always got treated right in there.

There would be no point to a bluray release, honestly. It was shot in 4:3 basically VHS format and resolution. It looks like a nice VHS tape in terms of definition but there just isn't much that can be done to it.

This is likely the reason that Hampton hasn't gotten a video release. VHS vs Film. Film can be blown up into HD and look fantastic (Texas 78, Lets Spend The Night Together, Hail Hail Rock N Roll) vs VHS TAPE which has a fixed resolution with nothing more to get out of it...

Great DVD though!

Drake

I pre-ordered mine through Amazon, and it still hasn't shipped. In fact I got an e-mail today saying I could expect it by the 25th. That's two weeks after the release date. I don't know what the deal is, if they ran out or what. I didn't get the faster shipping, but usually things only take 3-4 days to get here with free shipping. Also there's the fact that it's been out for a few days and still hasn't shipped. Glad I didn't pay, faster shipping is kind of pointless when Amazon sits on the order.

Gotta love Muddy!

Watched the DVD last night and listened to the CD going to and from work today. I thought Keith and Ronnie sounded great.

If I had to say I was disappointed with anything, it would be that Country Boy did not make the CD. I guess because of CD time limits and the fact there is no Stone on that song, ah, but I love listening to Muddy's slide.

Jagger is nervous all the way thru, with his constant grinning he looks very insecure. Keith & Ron are just in heaven.

Quick question about the song "One Eyed Woman", is that a Muddy Waters original? I've never heard the song before, and I can't find ANY information about the song doing a Google search. Except for pages pointing you towards buying Checkerboard. I searched with bits of lyrics, and other stuff, can't find anything.

I wonder if that is the correct title of the song. He sings about an ugly woman and makes reference to her eyes (plural)

I found Lefty Dizz's version of One Eyed Woman, and it's a totally different song.
