Yes, Jagger is obviously wasted. He really flubs a lot of lines...
Er, I sure hope we all know and understand it is a stage act by Jagger, that it was his intention to sound like this on this tour. It is his stage persona, much like Bowie invented stage persona's and alter ego's.
I mean, it's not real.

There's a minor point though -Ollie Brown can hardly be heard. I always loved his bells and whistles, like there's really a party going on on stage. But now only a cowbell once in while can be heard.
And we need more cowbell!

Yeah, it's not like Mick was some teetotaler. I've seen plenty of pictures/footage of him drinking and drugging. His stage persona is that of a much more wild, confident and outspoken person than he is in real life, but even quiet and reserved Mick took part in the festivities. As you said, maybe he was hamming it up, but there's also a pretty good chance that Mick, in L.A., in 1975, was partying quite a bit.

I already purchased the only version available to me, so no guilt for downloading the FLAC files!

Who was the support band at the L.A. Forum gigs?
The steel band. They were in 3 sections at the front of the lotus stage: left, right, center. One group would play, then the other, then the other. When I was there, I don't recall the house lights being dimmed for them, they just played.

Thanks, Tom
the Steel Band Association of America are mentioned on the Rocks Off Setlistpage but only for track 23.
so they joined back in for the finale - makes sense.

Well, I think you all can really forget about that. By all accounts Jager never was one to party real hard, and he certainly wouldn't party hard with 20.000 people and the entire nations press in front of him. And, he sounds the same on each and very show of that tour. Sure he would have a drink of snort after a show, but really forget about Jagger ever being really drunk or out of it on stage.

Well, not true. Particularly not for the 75/76 tours! Richards, Wood and Jagger as well didn't put a foot on stage without some heavy snorting before. It only changed later . .

If mick did some blow before the show and a little bit during, that doesn't qualify as being wasted or out of it.
