All down the line acoustic

The first time I heard this song I was blown away, I just thought it was so amazing and had such a great laid back sound to it. Just found a old cd I burned years ago with it on and listened to it again for the first time in a very long time. I think it is one that should have made the cut on the exile bonus disc for sure. Love it!

Why the heck was this version not on the Exile reissue?

For anyone who hasn't already heard this one - turn sound up LOUD and enjoy a truly joyful noise. It don't half go bang!

I'd much rather have had this on Exile Deluxe than the one we got - but then they would probably have felt the need to tidy it up and "improve" it for official release, so maybe it's just as well. Certainly a favourite track on my IPod.

Great version of a great song. The rolling stones can make accoustic guitars rock!

Most versions of this track run at the wrong speed.
Make sure you have the proper pitch and you will enjoy it all the more...

Had they included it on the exile extras they might have butcher-edited it like they did with the ace 1969 Loving Cup! thumbs down

Note how close in feel this is to Street Fighting Man. Interesting.

I think the Who were inspired by this version when they recorded Squeeze Box.

I've always felt it was the same session as Pay Your Dues/Street Fighting Man.
The sound is just too close and you don't hear that guitar on any other tracks.

Wasn't it recorded through a small radio or something....I forget the story Keith told, but it was a unique guitar tone achieved through unconventional means.

I´m glad about the I-tunes rehearsing version of All down the line. We have this accoustic version in good quality on boots, so what else do you want?
Better to get unsurfaced stuff or at least cleaned up versions. There´s no need for a release of good time woman or stuff like that...

This is really great! Anybody an idea where to find it for a download? had a look into the "Hot Stuff" section, but couldn't find it. Merci

Listening to it again, I have to agree with Munichhilton. This has to be from the same session as street fighting man. Same guitars, phrasing and more important, this has to be a kids drum kit. these are not really hihat cymbals and the whole sounds completely restricted. Just played such a thing with a few friends a while ago in order to be not too loud.

Anyway still amazed. Thanks for posting it!

Only mp3 I'm afraid but better than nothing

Should be part of a boot called "Let It Bleed Sessions" but all the Hot Stuff links are dead.

I have a cassette somewhere with a slightly different sounding vocal track... This one sounds sped up?

The YouTube video runs slightly faster than the mp3 track I uploaded (which says it is "corrected speed"winking smiley.
