Maradona: If Pele is Beethoven, then I'm Ron Wood, Keith Richards and the Bono of soccer

The outspoken Argentine claimed Brazilian great Pele 'may have taken the morning pills at night time' after comments he made about Pele being like Beethoven.

Al Wasl coach Diego Maradona has used his latest press conference to continue his war of words with rival Pele, believing himself to be more passionate about soccer than the Brazil legend.

Pele made the comment in an interview with FIFA.com, stating: “I was born to play football, just like Beethoven was born to write music and Michelangelo was born to paint.”

Maradona, however, took his opportunity to fire back at the Brazil legend’s comments with a few of his own, referring to himself as a “rock star” of the game.

"If Pele thinks he's the Beethoven of football then I'm Ron Wood, Keith Richards and the Bono of football, because I have so much passion," the former World Cup winner said.

Maradona went on to stir the pot further, remarking that the Brazilian needed to make sure he was taking the right medication before making any statements.

"Pele has said he's the Beethoven of football,” he continued. “I've never heard any Beethoven music in a match, so as I've told you before, anytime he takes the wrong pill he comes up with a crazy statement. Pele may have taken the morning pills at night time, so he should make sure he takes the right pills.”

He added: “In fact it would be better if he changed his doctor."

When it comes to taking pills, Maradona is right: He is the Keith Richards or Ron Wood of football.

Diego, as always, the number one. Say what you want about drugs, but don't forget this:

"I want to cry... Holy God... what a goal! Diegoal... Forgive me, I'm crying... Maradona, in amazing running, in a timeless play... cosmic kite... from which planet do you came?... to leave aside so many englishmens, "

"I'm gonna walk... before they make me run"

Reality harder than fiction...

Maradona hugs another player named Julio ALberto who was also a Barcelona player and also a cocaine user. Today happily recovered.

But....look at this...
