The news is out all over town
That you've been seen out running around

Just trust in you was my great sin
I just can't go on, you win again, all right

Just trust in you was my great sin
I just can't go on, you win again
I just can't go on, you win again

Remarkable how they were "into" country at the time they recorded Some Girls. I mean, they
had a lot of country influences before, and we can hear a lot of those back on the albums before
Goat's Head Soup. But on Some Girls, apart from Far Away Eyes of course, we hear nothing that
has any country flavour. Still, they were playing a lot of country in the studio at the time
of recording the album.

Just as long as the guitar plays, let it steal your heart away

A fine cover of a fine song; I’m sure ol’ Hank would have been very pleased with this version. Lovely pedal steel and harmonies.

It’s Far Away Eyes but with Mick’s tongue less firmly lodged in his cheek, and it fits like a glove on the SG Deluxe disc.

Jagger sings great on that track, this song suits his older voice.

I like it but I was really surprised that they didnt leave Keiths original harmony vocals on. He nails it and it sounds much better plus the fact that (if you listen to the original outtake) Keith is the only one that gets the words right. Jagger is the reason the lead vocals had to be re-recorded-he didnt know half of them.

i reckon it wouldn't be easy to sing new lead vocals to match old harmony vocals
but anyway! this one moves me less than most of the "new old" tracks, but ...
yeah, alright! come on! we can do this! <-- obscure Stones quote number 764

I quite like it actually. It's nice to hear Keith harmonizing w/Mick, even if it sounds at times as if he only sings the few words he can remember. Is it primarily just the vocals and possibly acoustic guitar that are new, or does anyone know for sure?

prefer the original Stones version if you will...compared to the cleaned up officially released Some Girls delux version.

I think I can hear him occasionally but mostly I hear Jagger harmonizing with himself.
@theimposter..if you listen to the original outtake, Keith is the ONLY one that knows all the words. He sings the correct lines even tho Jagger cant remember but about half of 'em, but I still like it better tho. Compare both and you will hear a tremendous difference in them..

Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant...one of the best, if not the best of the 'new' tracks. Proper Stones, loose harmonies, country and decadent. Prefer this to all the nonsense on ABB, and the other Exile extras. THis is the way forward for the band. Forget writing new songs which will just be parodies of earlier songs, go straight for classic country and blues covers.

Great tune...great for Jagger's voice now. Love this, well placed on an excellent album overall.

I'd like more prominent Richard's harmonies

++ I second that emotion...

Yes, if it is the same track I remember yesterday, wearing headphones I heard the Keith harmonies, but they were a bit buried...could have been brought up in the mix.
