Is this a photo of Winos era?

I made my company's leaflet around 1994 using this photo.
Ad agency proposed some photos such as McCartney and U2.
I chose this one. I had everyone roll over and play dead.grinning smiley

Great shot Toru thanks for sharin' , I don't know if it's a Winos era shot,
but some here for sure will answer.

Just let me add that If Mick had never released his first solo work back in 1985, we for sure never got the luck to get the Winos
soon after, so thanks Mick for being the source of the birth of the Winosthumbs up smiley Just jokin' winking smiley

I love Keith and the Winos, but also wish that the 2 studio albums were remastered with extra tracks, or in deluxe format with a second disc.

Hi Tom,
i love the Winos too and i wish another studio album.

Watching those Winos clips and seeing relaxed, concentrated, music-oriented Keith Richards I seriously think that The Stones should have called it quits at least after URBAN JNGLE tour. That is so much better and charming than the posing Keef of the Stones shows acting his Captain Kidd to Peter Pan (credits to 71Tele) and playing the same old songs and riffs again and again. And I would say the same argument for Jagger as well if we look his solo concerts. They both seem to enjoy much more and being affected by the muse. Both of them seem to have artistically lost so much inside the golden cage of of The Rolling Stones, and in trying to stand each other's ego.

But I guess the cruel business side of the things 'forced' them to stuck them together. They didn't have afford to go solo, as absurd as it might sound. But it is clear that especially Keith should needed to get used to quite different level of success and circles if he would have continued as a solo artist. Maybe that kind of 'cult' name wouldn't have been enough for him, after being used to a kind of superstar league for ages.

I find this point of view tobe very interesting. Maybe it should have been better to end Rs after 82 or 90's tour. Maybe their solo works would be more interesting artistically.

I was at the show in Cologne. It was on TV starting a little bit later than the concert, so I could catch the end on TV when I arrived home. Recorded it on VHS with my parents recorder.
After the show I waited for Keith and he walked out of the press conference he gave afterwards wearing a skull scarf and sunglasses sayin hi to the few fans that were waiting (only about ten because some security told us that Keith has already left so most of the fans left to.But there were flashlights all the time from a room with closed curtains so I thought Keith might still be there... and he was). A couple that also waited outside jumped in their VW Beetle and followed Keith's van. Rudolf Schenker of the band "Scorpions" also attended the show and left before Keith, greeting fans before getting in his Mercedes Benz and driving away.

I was there too. The last concert I saw at the Sporthalle, before it was torn down. Quite vividly remember the moments before the show began, the candlestick on stage, and then Keith just walked on stage, said hi to everybody, and off they went.

I tried to get to the front row, where they had left a big corridor along the stage to make room for the cameras. I even made it to the third or fourth row. But it was incredibly cramped there and suddenly I was squeezed between some guys much taller then me, and right in the middle of pressure and heat, I was close to blackout. Luckily I made it out of there just in time and after a few minutes in the foyer, I watched the rest of the show from the back rows. Still it was a great experience and a nice reward to watch some of the show on TV afterwards the same evening.

Hi Greenblues! I made the front row (right in front of Waddy Wachtel) and the concert was one of my best live experiences. But the reason for what I`m posting here is following:
Keith didn`t enter the stage and just said hi. The cool thing was: the band came on stage in the darkness , just the candlestick and sat down on the ground in a circle to smoke a joint. Then after nearly a minute they stood up and he said hi. You can see it on tv: they enter the stage and for a little while nothing happens. That´s the moment where they sit on the ground. What a cool beginning!

Never forget this one. Tom

Nice story guys, I forgot to mention that in Paris, I 've seen Izzy Stradlin
who were there in the crowd to watch the show only (I've just asked him before if he was there as guest). Cool dude cool smiley

Hey electric mud, I had completely forgotten about that! Only remembered the dark stage and the candlestick, and how they started playing without making any big fuzz about it. Strange thing, memory. But you're right, of course. And it really was a very cool show!

Yes , one of the best ever. The front row was fantastic, but you know what? Being in the front row meant to be the last one at the merchandising shop. The shirt I wanted to buy was sold out!!! You know the black/white Keith shot. Till today the best designed shirt for me , but I never got itconfused smiley. All through the years when I met people with this shirt I wanted to buy , but nobody wanted to sell....I'm still looking for itwinking smiley..
