I've stepped out of this thread for a bit...has hbwriter revealed his "scoop" yet?
He's going to do a PPV for it.

Mick and Keith are probably writing right now, a la Bigger Bang, in NYC or Conn,
with the recording machines rolling. When the full band sessions commence
will depend on when Mick and Keith are satisfied with what they got and are
ready for input from the others.

It has become a very sweet, private, and caring relationship at this point.
No one gains entree, not even Charlie Watts, until the brothers by different
mothers have worked things through.

I would be interested in his Rolling Stones "ice cream". I am putting together an article and have not reached the desert status yet. (recipes). However I did make "Keith's Pie."

Haha, but don't expect anything new. it'll just be a good old 99 Flake.

...I know variations of this have been posed before: How 'bout a Warts & All tour? The premise: The Stones do what they need to put on the best show they can, but include their fans...make ticket prices reasonable for their fans...grant their fans access...no buying out the first few rows and planting glamorous-looking non-fans. Seriously, the guys are almost 70 year's old - logically, how old does that make most of their fans? Most likely, the average age of a Stones' fan is probably around 55...there is NO SHAME in age. A lot of musicians embrace their fans and don't glamorize their audience.

I was a bit disheartened after reading the end of Chet Flippo's book, when he says that the Stones (in fact all rock bands) have no clue who their fans are. I know I'm naive but I just can't believe that. YES - the Rolling Stones are a name, a brand if you will - but they exist (as a band) to play music & to play for fans. Do they care more about corporate sponsors? Yes - they need funding and deserve to make a profit but I want to believe there's more to the Stones than that.

I have been following "mick jagger" for many years on google news. For the first
time EVER, right now, in this the Stones jubilee year, there have been no news
stories anywhere in the world mentioning "mick jagger" in the last 24 hours.

Which sort of deserves a news story in and of itself.

You said it well, but as long as monopolistic tour organisors like Nationwide control every single dime and penny you will not see any interest for the fans. I assume that there will be huge meet and greet seating areas, premium seatings and then the far rest, And that'll only happen if they gonna tour at all.

He/she is not such an idiot!!!! That´s true we are all hoping for a RS's youth reaction (both musically and artistically), but the EOMS and SG times are over, it was almost over in 1983. They are in their 70s, what can we hope from them??

far far better pre-later vegas era when they had nothing at all to do with the fans... rock royalty comes with a superior attitude. you would never ever see dylan do a meet-and-greet with a bunch of fat slobs and old hags lol.

I think we all missed this March 25 story. Perhaps that's for the best, as it
is quite light on facts...

Ronnie and Mick's Secret Stones Summit

Mar 25 2012 by Nick Dorman, [www.people.co.uk]

SOMETHING wrong, Ron? Rolling Stone Ronnie Wood looks like he didnt get much
satisfaction from a secret summit with bandmate Mick Jagger.

Ronnie had hoped to spend much of the day and finally nail down a reunion
tour for the groups 50th anniversary.

But the guitarist, 64, looked less than happy when he emerged from the
three-hour sitdown with Sir Mick, 68, which Ronnie had exclusively revealed
to The People the night before.

Speaking at a ballet premiere at Londons Coliseum, he excitedly told us: Im
having a great time at the minute. Im not sure what is going on with the
Rolling Stones reunion but Im meeting up with Mick tomorrow. So well see what
happens.

Next day Ronnie looked upbeat as he left his home in a light blue blazer,
yellow V-neck, trainers and trademark shades with a ciggie in his hand.

But when the Stone whose band had a hit with Waiting On A Friend arrived at
Micks home he had to use his mobile to call his pal to let him in. Three
hours later the duo were Out Of Time and Ronnie looked glum as he walked to a
waiting car.

An onlooker said: He seemed a bit downbeat.

Looking at the photo of Ronnie, I would wager Mick told him he looked to 'Ivy League' for a Stones tour, and they were going with Jeff Beck instead.
