I think you are making a stretch that I don't agree with: That people who post critical opinions about the band somehow don't want to, or don't deserve to see the band. What I find really frustrating is the idea that some people have that some of us who use our powers of judgment and observation, and our critical faculties to say what we think about this or that aspect of the band are somehow not "true fans" or are "naysayers". I think that is nonsense.
One can love something and be critical at the same time, particularly about artists who have been around so long and have so many apsects to their music and careers. A band that has its two main protagonists often at loggerheads, and who have not produced a note of music in five years invites speculation and criticism. There is nothing wrong with that, and some of the more manic defenders here should frankly develop a thicker skin. It's tough love!

What a bunch of total silliness. I am looking forward to the 2013 world tour, and it will be nothing like the crap described above. It will be mainly war horses played at a good to superior level, as always, and with a few surprises thrown in for good measure. I plan on having a blast. The rest of you can whine, moan, and bellyache if you wish. I will not allow a few chronic malcontents to spoil my party.
I'd be surprised if during Keith's set he would do an acoustic version of "You're So Vain".

I'll be the first to admit when I'm wrong but I do think even if the tour is not as lengthy as it was in the past it will be much the same as it has been. Huge shows, stadiums and a few theaters here and there.
It's not that it's what I want or think they should do. It's just as Gazza points out, huge sums of money is what makes the Stones roll and I just don't see a performance at all without it being as big as ever.
Despite being 70, I think they are all capable of doing it again. The shows are taxing on their endurance but the travel is made pretty comfortable and easier than if I had to haul my ass around 30 cities.
He already did one in POTC4. You probably meant Pirates Of The Caribbean 5.

You mean recently? Well, it's the original 1965 backing track, so "recently recorded" is stretching it a bit far, but,on the positive side, this 1965 backing track was remixed by Dave Stewart and DJ Bobo some weeks ago to make it sound a bit more, eh, contemporary.
I would be interested in his Rolling Stones "ice cream". I am putting together an article and have not reached the desert status yet. (recipes). However I did make "Keith's Pie."

No, not 'recently'. Just 'previously'. Of course, all recorded tracks were recorded "previously" to now and all future.
Maybe you're right, maybe you're wrong. I don't know, except that I am getting worn out by all the specualtion. It's been discussed to death and I have told myself I will care again about this when more actual news happens (by that I mean OFFICIAL word from the band). Until then, there are other things in life to occupy my time and attention.
Predictably no - and my irritation with those who tease us with supposed "insider" knowledge and then fail to deliver has grown.

Everything has to come to an end at some point. Keith and Ronnie had moments during the last tour that were hard watch. Mick continues to struggle with laryngitis on long tours. The only steady one is Charlie, and that probably won't last much longer. The Stones should do what Genesis did and appoint 5 young guys to re-create their '71 & '72 tours.

You mean recently? Well, it's the original 1965 backing track, so "recently recorded" is stretching it a bit far, but,on the positive side, this 1965 backing track was remixed by Dave Stewart and DJ Bobo some weeks ago to make it sound a bit more, eh, contemporary.

No, not 'recently'. Just 'previously'. Of course, all recorded tracks were recorded "previously" to now and all future.

Is the "band camping out for mutli-night runs in arenas, similar to Prince's recent stands in New York and Los Angeles(RollingStoneMag. page19&22)" really considered because Keith Richards' health issues or because it is less expensive for however is going to produce the expected but not signed yet tour? Tour travelling in 2012 isn't has tough as it was in 1969. The "camping" stuff put the burden of most of us the fans unless you live near the "camping".

These 70-year old men are simply not going to be traveling the world playing gynormous football stadiums like in the glory days - if you consider those the glory days, which I don't. For the reasons you mentioned and a dozen others, the days of "touring" are over.
I'll be the first to admit when I'm wrong but I do think even if the tour is not as lengthy as it was in the past it will be much the same as it has been. Huge shows, stadiums and a few theaters here and there.
It's not that it's what I want or think they should do. It's just as Gazza points out, huge sums of money is what makes the Stones roll and I just don't see a performance at all without it being as big as ever.
Despite being 70, I think they are all capable of doing it again. The shows are taxing on their endurance but the travel is made pretty comfortable and easier than if I had to haul my ass around 30 cities.
Maybe you're right, maybe you're wrong. I don't know, except that I am getting worn out by all the specualtion. It's been discussed to death and I have told myself I will care again about this when more actual news happens (by that I mean OFFICIAL word from the band). Until then, there are other things in life to occupy my time and attention.
