One more thing that SupaRevy or one of his predecessors made a big rant about
was that the more Stones fans embraced SuperHeavy, the more Mick would embrace
the Stones 50th thing. The less the less.

This statement of his met great mockery last June. Ha ha, cried the mob, you've
got it exactly wrong, StuporRevvy! Remember Goddess? We rejected that so firmly
that we forced Mick to come back to the Stones and to Stones fans on bended
knee, because where else was he gonna go, and what else was he gonna do? We
showed him last time who's the boss, and that's what we're gonna do this time too!

Sorry, mob, it looks like yet again StuporRevvy was right and y'all was wrong...

Bonus content: L'wren has tweeted thusly, "Sunny lovely morning birds are
singing in my garden and Mr Fox just strolling around having a drink in
my pond scaring off the birds"

So I guess she's already taken one of Mick's houses as part of the settlement.

Joke.

I think.

Has this been posted before? Footage of the Stones celebrating their
45th on July 12, 2007 with a private gig in Barcelona. Quite similar to
how they'll be celebrating their 50th I'm guessing...

Kinda cool that both July 12, 1962 and July 12, 2012 are Thursday nites.

As for the album, it will be a goody. 50 unreleased and new things, 3CDs.
Its basically already in the can, that's what Mick has mostly been working on
for the last few years. How many new things are on it depends solely on the
success of upcoming sessions, which will probably also include Taylor and
Wyman.

in case you missed it on another thread, here's the cover art i suggested for
this SuperProject a couple years ago. 50 marching, charging tongues, boy!

nothing whimpery about that! plenty of bang for yer buck!

I must disagree...I saw Toronto in 2005 and Vancouver 2006 and both were excellent shows.

Seattle, 2006 (just five days before Austin) was also a fantastic show.

Hmm...I was there, was this the David Matthews show? I thought it was the worst Stones show I have seen of about 30 since 1975.

Why?

Well, Dave Matthews, for one.
Ha Exactly. Anything with Dave Matthews is bound for suckdom!

Beck opened for them in Toronto...that was an inspired choice. He was so good I was a little concerned that he would blow the main act out of the water. That definitely didn't happen though.

Does anybody here give a crap about superrevvy being right or wrong? Also, does anyone here give a crap about his artwork?

It might just be a case of when and why one stopped giving a crap. The Exile and Some Girls reissues and more so the Some Girls movie was certainly a sense of giving a crap on both sides.

You sure can ask some obtuse and abstract questions, Stonescrow. Perhaps you're too busy stroking yourself about the Shits Of The Beatles instead of reading what people have been saying here for a few years now.

"Shits of the Beatles"? That is extremely disrespectful! Especially coming from such a prominent figure in the music industry, such as yourself. Shame on you.

I didn't notice any fatigue, but they had just come from the ice box of Chicago. Mick may have had a slight cold. I went home happy.

The only complaint I had was that I thought they had the volume cranked up way too loud. That stadium was engineered to hold the sound in. It is the loudest outdoor stadium in the NFL. Not sure the Stones sound engineers got it right that evening. The good news is that they could be heard all over town that evening.

I give a crap about superrevvy, I find him to be both funny and cool...The album cover is clever...

What I don't give a crap about is all the @#$%& comments flooding this MB about how the Stones aren't up to it, blah blah blah, so inanely unhip, ignorant and boring...I wish they'd all just get lost...However, it may translate into me getting a better shot at good seats...The hundreds of drunks around at the stadium gigs blabbing away during the whole show seemingly oblivious to why they're therewouodn't be missed...

Tele71, I dunno if you are tired, but you can be tiresome sometimes...smoking smiley

Well, sorry you feel that way. What I find tiresome is the endless clawing over and speculating over the same few fragments of factual information, saying the same things over and over again, with lots of repitition, but very little originality or insight. If pointing that out makes me tiresome to you, so be it.

As to the "hundreds of drunks blabbing away" at the stadium gigs, I'm with you. I don't know why those people are there either. But if you think those are the same people making critical comments on this site, I think you're mistaken. Those people are civilians who only have a vague idea of why they are there in the first place. I trust that those of us here with whom you may happen to disagree, are much like yourself: We hang on every word and song played at a show.

If it gets to the point where I can afford to hire them for my back yard party, I will be initially thrilled, then saddened.

(unless of course I come into some major money soon and can outbid the competition for a still-sought-after major live act)
