I think it might be the Grammys?

It's not the Grammys (where Lennon had longer hair & a beret in '75), it's some charity event from '74 or so. It accompanied a remembrance of Lennon written by Jagger in the book THE BALLAD OF JOHN & YOKO, but I don't recall the details of the caption.

I was driving home early Sunday morning through Bakersfield...

the cagney benefit - the video of the event is amazing - when mick gets up to start clapping (right near Reagan) during Yankee Doodle Dandy - also - he sat with steve mcqueen and ali mcgraw - DOH

Damn when Dressmann made those t-shirt replicas last year, that Lennon one could have been a real deal. Never seen that before.

Great photo. Mick and Bianca hung out quite often with Lennon during the May Pang 'Lost Weekend'.....throughout spring, summer of 74.
I remember reading somewhere that Bianca was sick and couldn't go that night.
I love that pic of Mick with the cigarette. He looks so elegant. Would love to have that print.
