Stones fans in strange places

I teach English in a small city in the middle of Mexico.

Today, when talking about favourite songs, one 11 year old boy responded 'something by the Rolling Stones'. When i asked further he said, 'maybe Moon Is Up'.

I was a little surprised to hear that such a relatively obscure cut (which i love btw) would mean so much to an 11 year old Mexican lad.

Love the Stones

Clearly you're after Teacher Of The Year.
Good work, I hope you get it.

In 2010 whilst walking up the side of a Lake Taal volcano in Batangas, Philippines I saw a filipino guy with a stones tongue t-shirt and he called me Paul McCartney and gave me the thumbs up. thumbs up grinning smiley

* His Majesty, Prince Jones smiled as he moved among the crowd *
