My old pal Eric Burdon. One of the great singers but ultimately an often confused person. Irresistible accent!
He taught me quite a lot about music that I've not forgotten. One tidbit since I am writing more about him in my next book. "Without a good drummer, a singer is helpless."
And this version's a medley, or suite, which in this case is broken up in seven parts: a. "Black on Black in Black" b. "Paint It Black I" c. "Laurel and Hardy" d. "Pintelo Negro II" (Spanish version of you know what) e. "P. C. 3" f. "Black Bird" g. "Paint It Black III"
In addition to this medley, there are not one, but two, cover versions of the Moody Blues' "Nights in White Satin" presented elsewhere on the same LP, which is called The Black-Man's Burdon.
