Again, if you haven't given YO/POB a chance you're missing out; if anything they're more on fire because there's no pesky lyrics getting in the way!

Hey wan't our own Michael Paul Jagger a session guitarist on one of the Yoko albums?

I will definitely check out YO/POB. John's is one of my all-time top ten albums ever. I even had an email exchange with Klaus Voorman about it once.

What was the email exchange Tele? That is very interesting! Tell the story!
YO/POB is good, for the music. John plays some fantastic guitar on this, and it is raw! Especially Why. But after awhile Yoko's shrill voice takes its toll...but when your in the mood for avant garde' and some great music this is a fun disc. The band is smoking and it is far more a jam session album than JL POB. Ok, now Tele tell all!

Not much to tell whitem8. I came across Voorman's website a few years ago and decided to send a fan email. I just told him how much I loved that record and his playing on it and asked if he could tell me anything about it. Much to my surprise he responded very quickly. he said he will always remember wprking with those "fantastic people", that the sessions were fun. Lennon would come into the studio, show the other guys the song, and they would do it in one or two takes, that's it! No wonder it sounds so fresh. It reminds me very much of Dylan's "Blood On The Tracks" where you can hear the bass player quickly catch up to the right chord ("Tangled Up In Blue", I think, is a good example). It's a mistake technically, yet it works.

Very cool! His website is very cool and I have gotten a few of his digital prints and they are fantastic. Also his last CD signed. He seems very generous and is a fan for sure. His art work is also very beautiful. Revolver is one of the most iconic images from the 60's. His collage drawing style is fantastic.

There are some very cool outtakes from the JLPOB album. The version of Honey Don't is down right primeval.

I think the reason might me that those are songs George wrote, by strumming them with his guitar, so he can strum them as well on the recording sesssion, instead of having to teach John them and letting him do it,

Yes, but there were still two guitar parts (or more) on most of these songs. John was nominally the rhythm guitarist in the Beatles and he seems to have abdicated that role on George's songs.
