I wish he could focus on a deluxe edition of Ram for 2012

It is slated for release this year. Some rumors circulating that it will include the Mono mix as well. Which would be phenomenal! The promo Mono mix is one of McCartney's most sought after collector's items.

Also it is rumored that he is going to put out a box set after all the deluxe editions with alternate takes and outtakes. I hope he does!

On the Alternate Ram (mono), that's been doing the rounds for a while there are a few interesting unreleased trracks that will probably surface on the deluxe edition of Ram.
These are Sunshine Sometime; Rode All Night; A Love For You; Three Legs (acoustic); Heart Of The Country (acoustic); Back Seat Of My Car (instrumental) and 6 radio promos. Look around and you'll find it.

I hope that those outtakes are on the deluxe. I am not holding my breath though. The other releases have had scant outtakes, and the rumor he is holding a lot of the outtakes back for release on a box set... I would love to have live stuff from the European tour, where he did a smoking long version of Long Haired Lady. Three Legs is a fantastic tune and I would like a nice sounding acoustic version. Some DVD stuff from the tour would also be great!

He smoked it a few times in the 60's supplied by Robert Fraser, from the Indica Art Gallery. They were good friends. He said he only did it a few times and didn't like it. He also did Coke, but didn't like the come down.

Tourist!

as opposed to a loser, weak heroin addict ?

That's a great boot called Red Rose Speedway Collector's Edition which includes tracks from the 72 European tour. Wings did an amazing bluesy song called 1882 which never made it anywhere. Again, I found it on the internet a few months ago so if you look you'll find it.

Great subject matter.

But I don't like the production on that album, it's dark shiney and overproduced (something like that anyway)

I like Paul's music to sound more organic.

It's a shame because he tried hard on Chaos.

I never play it.

Ridiculous to say McCartney did more drugs than Lennon, who tripped almost daily for a while.

Same for Happiness is a Warm Gun being a heroin reference. Lennon read the line on the cover of a gun magazine, just like he got Good Morning Good Morning from a Special K commercial and Mr. Kite from an antique circus poster.

He's been smoking pot for over 40 years.

Reported incidents of Paul "losing it" or "out of control" = zero.

Sez you. Fact is, he used to be cruel to his woman. He beat her and kept her apart from the things that she loved.

I never believed Lennon took thousands of hits of LSD like he said he did.

As for Paul quitting

Meh I doubt he quit 100%
