I thought the exact same thing. Non-season ticket holders are shut out from getting seats up front in the "pool circle"Quote

Bummed that their L.A. show is at the Hollywood Bowl (too big!)...but I'll be there!

Clarkston, Michigan is nearly as big. It's the former Pine Knob, with 8,000 pavilion seats and lawn seating for another 7,000. Never had much luck getting really good seats there, but I'll take a shot. I'll definitely be there, somewhere.

That can't be right. I'm sure that's just the price range They start at $40, and go up to $170. They'll post all the in between prices as the on sale date gets nearer.

I've never seen the Beach Boys...mainly because the band has been so splintered for decades.
Is it worth taking a 12-year old or will her expectations be diminished?

Is she already a fan of their music? If so, by all means! (Even if she isn't, she'll probably still dig it!)
Brian's band is excellent and they're really committed to his songs...a great group of musicians. I've seen him solo several times the past 10+ years, and saw the Beach Boys (with Carl) many times before that. Not sure what the set list will be like on the tour, but I hope we get some deep tracks (which Brian does frequently) alongside the hits.

She loves them! That's why I don't want her to be disappointed...

I always thought they were weird in that they are a band based on a "theme" - surfing and beaches.
In fact, they started doing alittle more than just singing about girls...Quote

They did car songs in the early days too.
And girls. I don't think they ever stopped singing about girls.
