The difference, since you're having difficulty following along, is that I was engaged in the noble and apparently endless struggle against rudeness and hostility, whereas send it to me was just being gratuitously unkind to someone that was trying to bring joy and light to the world....er, forum.

If that doesn't do it for you, then I'll just give you a dollar if you'll stop pointing out when I'm doing what I tell others not to do.

well, i just like pointing out irony. you don't owe me anything. i do this pro-bono....

1) There had been one (1) clearly marked OT thread about Rihanna.
One thread about the one artist of today who most clearly resembles
classic Stones, not stylistically of course, but in terms of attitude and
innovation and quality and media impact. Talking about her records.
Granted, her shows are not all that special.

2) Even then, I quickly let that thread die when I could find no partners
in crime here. Even though I had tons more to offer on the subject.
She works almost as hard as Mick and parties almost as hard as Keith.
Your loss.

3) See? Here she is yesterday paying homage to Keith by wearing the
same shirt he wore in the centerfold of Black and Blue.



4) Ever wonder why one thread on Rihanna bothers you way more than
47 threads on the Black Crows? Or why you get so nasty when Mick
collaborates with Will.i.am or Damian Marley? Here's why: Because it
causes tremendous cognitive dissonance when someone who loves classic
Stones as much as you (and non-classic Stones more than you) also
loves the international polyrhythmic pop that is taking over the world.
On an organic level, your brain chemistry gets put out of whack by that
simple fact. You want it to be impossible. Let me tell you something,
as your friend: the inability to adjust to change and the clinging to the
past (as opposed to the treasuring of the past, which is fine) is literally
brain shrinkage. Literally pre-Alzheimer's. You should check into it
right away, because there are effective dietary and life-style counter-
measures that you can take.

5) Anybody seen that "bits of news" thread? I have a nude pic of
Warren Haynes that I want to post there.

6) Mick Buddy and Jeff playing together as a band? Please God!
