Check this out! Just received this link from a very attentive colleague.
Is this for real?
It's in Dutch, but I think everybody understands this.
Can anybody confirm this, please.

It hasnt been 'announced' at all. What nonsense.

Seems very late to be playing stadiums in Europe.

Can't imagine Arsenal allowing them to use the Emirates Stadium one month into the football season at a time when their schedule would be busy with both Premiership and Champions League fixtures. Surely Wembley would make more sense as its bigger and isnt used by a club side.

Well, you can forget Scandinavia then. It's to cold here for outdoor gigs in the autumn.

Absolutely right. There's no way they're going to start an outdoor tour of Europe in the autumn. Hardly any venues available to accommodate them, and half of the continent would be out of bounds weather-wise. If they're starting a tour at that time of year, it'll be in North America.

Chicago 06 was freezing, they have those big heaters under the stage. I was there too.

So cold and first time they played She Was Hot.

I would be really surprised at this too....teams like Arsenal spend thousands upon thousands preparing their pitches in the summer for exactly this moment...it's hardly likely their going to let 50,000 people trample all over it even with the protective tarps I know they use...........and of course when they also know they're going to have to make them last through the rainy English winter through 'til the following spring.....

All we know about the 2012 tour is that we don't know anything.

not that any further evidence is needed, but there is a huge all-day track and
field meet here on 02.09.2012, so no way is it turned over to the hordes the
night before.

All we know about the 2012 tour is that we don't know anything.

I was walking on clouds, yeah
and talking so proud,
but I did not hear
Voices singing so loud, said
you're tumbling down,
to the streets of tears

I saw the future just shatter like glass

It's all out of focus
It's all, baby, so unclear
It's all out of focus
And nothing is revealed

I dont get this - WHY does somebody spend his / her time creating articles like this. "The Rolling Stones tour has just been announced" - it takes like 2 seconds today to check the inernet and see that there is no announcement.

And if somebody doesn't know anything better to do with his time, why doesn't he at least choose some believable dates. This looks crazy at the first sight. Vienna 30.9....sure...it migh be 5 degrees and rain...I am sure they would plan the tour like that, I can see thousands of reasons.

Re: Tour 2012

The date on that article is 29/04/2011...

Yes, but the update is 8/2/2012.

Its still absolute bullshit - but at least its up to date bullshit.

venues are totally nonsense, because of the weather and soccer leagues.
september-october, if it happens, are for arena shows

This is a fake. There is no official tour announcement at the moment. Perhaps it will be on March.

Re: Tour 2012

Wouldn't the Stones arrive in grand fashion announcing the tour?

isn't it usually too cold in march to make an announcement?

it's good that they'll be protected when the press fires questions at them.

thats what the force field is for. so those questions from the press blow up in their face.

This is, as always, only stupid speculation but if they follow their usual modus operandi the tour will start in North America in the fall or late summer. I guess there will be a an event to commemorate the 50 year mark. And surely Mick, or Mick and Keith or The Rolling Stones will be involved in some way in the London Summer Olympics opening or ending show.

No, they wont do the Olympics. Jagger has already stated that a few months ago
