It is pretty good. Locals must get tired of the tourists though. :-)

I went there a couple years ago - Holy shite - it sure is dangerous at times. I got the classic photo of my wife and I crossing but nearly got killed doing it LOL.

I wonder if people are still going to be doing this in 2000 years, like the people walking in the footsteps of Jesus on the stations of the cross.

You guys do realize that most of the people walking in single file across that street were not even born when that album was released forty-three years ago. Some of them have parents who still hadn't been born in 1969.

Fortunately, though, they all, eventually, were born .... to be alive!

I think one person has to be barefoot for it to be considered a true crossing.

The original has been paved over, but it is the same spot.

I got my pic taken at that crossing and thought I was going to get run over, as well.

I have a cousin who is 12 and she went to England with some friends last summer, and I saw she had a picture of her and her friends doing the Abbey Road crossing. I said something about it and to my horror she had no idea why the hell I was talking about the Beatles. They didn't even know the reason people always get their picture taken there, and the reason they were doing it, is because of a Beatles album. It was just something to do, that they saw others doing.

On the right there is an "Archives" button and you can select recent time slots. Also, a "Wall of Fame" that only had one photo in it! But the bottom of the page had a cool scroll bar with pics. One with 7 or 8 people on it.

I thought it would be fun to see the night slots since maybe there might be some drunks but got nothing great so far. I was looking at 7 AM!!!! and saw a couple.

I didn't realize it was such a busy street, and cars fly through there. From the album cover it looks like some sleepy residential street, but clearly that's not the case. Or maybe it was back then, but it isn't now.

Interesting how this live cam has sound.

If people were walking out in front of cars like that in my town, you would hear incessant horn-blowing all day long. grinning smiley

I love that. Would make great cover art for a bootleg, if not an official release. Hey, it's definitely better than the No Security cover!

I'd love that since it's me on there. It's taken the day after the last O2 show in 2007.

Four dudes Tebowing on the keys at Abbey Road would be funny.

I lived right beside it "Belsize Road" some years ago. Paul was barefoot along with being the only Beatle with his back turned on the cover of "Sgt Peppers" which sparked off the rumour that he was dead.... anyone recall that.
