Normally a real ale of some description - there are so many fabulous breweries at the moment - or a Guinness. If it has to be lager, then I'll usually opt for a Heineken, San Miguel or Budweiser Budvar. No American or Australian rubbish, thank you

From my home state in the USA-- Geary's Pale Ale brewed in Maine
my other favorite: Sapporo from Japan with Asahi running a close second

Stone IPA Ruination. Absolutely the meanest beers on the planet. Most of the beers in this thread are fantastic, and I would love to have a beer with any of you, but Stone takes the cake!

There are several favorites. But the one I can drink regularly would be Anchor Steam Liberty Ale. NWSooner, I also have a great respect for the Trappist beers. My favorite in that category is Orval.

touch of manuka honey. 2 or 3 times a day. best to let the green tea brew
for ten minutes. virtually impossible to get a cold or flu, even if you
tend to overindulge in other ways. also tends to take any excess weight off.

Gulden Draak from Belgium, if I want a hangover...but oh so good.
Sleeman Honey Brown if I want to drink several.
