So Charlie is busy prior to Stones activities? Strange.

it`s fine, that they´ll play in wien 3 more times, and when you live in vienna, it`s even better.
but honestly, I`m not so excited anymore ( we`ve seen abc&d already 3 times) , just to see charlie alone ...don`t get me wrong, the music is fine.
but who knows, maybe we`ll go ....

I don't think that the ABC&D project makes Charlie that bussy, it is just a couple of gigs with very little need of any rehearsing. I remeber some interview with Charlie from the beginning of the ABC&D project, when he was aked, how much had they rehearsed, Charlie replied that they had rehearsed 4 or 5 songs and they hadn't played any of those that night. :-).

I think that more shows of ABCD will turn up.
And I think if the Stones want to do SOMETHING live in July, they need weeks in a row
to rehearse. The "Stones machine" needs a lot of time for planning (a tour?). So it´s still strange to go on the road in March.

You are right, but I think they will manage. I would expect 2-3 day stays in another 3-4 cities during March / April, but that is not a tour, which would keep Charlie "on the road." That means 2-3 day out of home a couple of times.
How much time do The Stones need for the real intense rehearsing? 4 weeks? Something like that. I doubt that Charlie would be bussy with any other of those many many activities around the tour. I think that IF they plan the tour (and I think / hope they do), then the timing is quite precise and logical.
According to Bill Wyman - Stones always used way too much time for rehearsal. If it was up to Bill, 1 week would be more than enough. He felt the time being wasted and boring.Quote
