No, but maybe he was related to Li'l Kim or Kim Novak.

Happily, I was late mailing him a Christmas card this year. Saved myself the hassle of air mail.

Back in 1994, the man set a record that is likely to stand forever. Playing his first round of golf on a regulation, PGA-style, 18-hole course, Kim Jong Il scored 11 holes-in-one while he carded a stunning 38 UNDER par.

I believe this 100% !

The man had practically unlimited time to practice his skill.
I mean, it's not like all his time was consumed by feeding his people or anything.

You are being most uncharitable. What with authoring several hundred books, writing operas, directing films, being responsible for numerous inventions and giving on the spot guidance to farmers, technicians, soldiers and just about everybody else there was very little time for golf. Just as well he was a natural.

I'll bet ya anything he took a couple mulligans.

Gimme a break. Don't North Koreans have tear ducts?

I'd guess the people in these videos are threatened somehow if they don't act overly emotional.

Yeah, amazing how those tears will flow when there's a machine-gun squad just out of camera shot...................

If they could see what's happening with the "Arab Spring" then that could happen,
but since the internet and other sources for news is blocked in N.K., the people are ignorant about what they could do.

Be aware if you don't play the game of the multi nationals you're country will be "liberated" of your "dictatership". Ofcourse countries like Saudi Arabia can be the country with the most amount of executions per head of population in the whole world (yes, public beheadings and all) and still the "freedom" loving leaders will come and kiss your hands, just as long as you pay your due to the multi nationals.......

When propaganda is pervasive, no matter how ludicrous it might be,
and there is the threat of having your head cut off if you don't
profess belief, there will always be some percentage of the people
that swallow it whole, but gradually more and more just play along to
keep themselves from being ostrasized or worse. In these circumstances
the propagandists think they have won, but of course they have lost,
because propaganda is only successful to the extent it succeeds in
fostering real belief, not in coercing pretend belief. Once you start
trying to coerce belief, the end of your regime is just a matter of time.

thumbs up Nice to see at least one fellow IORRer recognise one of the best TV shows ever. Too bad/sad that K.N. only lasted one season (manily due to Robert Evans insulting too many major players in Tinsel town (which was the main reasons I loved it so much). I watched this episode last night, and although it is one of the weaker ones, ("Hip Hop to the Godfather" and "White Christmas" are two of the best eps. Are they, and many other full eps available FOR FREE on Youtube?? You bet your ass they are- [www.youtube.com] )it is still pretty funny, and now timely. I loved the charactor of Puss Puss, Robert Evans' ever ready, always helpful companion and jack of all tricks and trades.

If one does not know who Robert Evans is, you might be stunned at how many of you favorite movies he produced... and he is still alive and tweeting [twitter.com] some funny stuff
