I personally think it is doubtful that someone brought up entirely in this system and conditioned by it will be able to break from it.

The "heir-apparent" was educated for a while in Switzerland, so perhaps there is hope for this fvcked-up, ass-backwards, shithole of a country.

He lived in Switzerland for a while nicknamed "Chol-Pak". His cronies and SwissBanking are no enemies.cool smiley

He had huge platform shoes that even Silvio Berlusconi (another great leader...) would be jealous of. Jagger's enhanced Nikes were nothing compared to those.

World’s greatest golfer dies. Farewell Kim Jong Il

Posted on December 19, 2011 at 4:07am by Mike Opelka North Korean golfing legend (and oppressive dictator) Kim Jong Il passed away over the weekend. He was just 69 years old, but laid claim to golfing skills that would make greats like Jack Nicklaus, Tiger Woods and Walter Hagen weep with envy.

Back in 1994, the man set a record that is likely to stand forever. Playing his first round of golf on a regulation, PGA-style, 18-hole course, Kim Jong Il scored 11 holes-in-one while he carded a stunning 38 UNDER par. Seventeen bodyguards were on hand to witness and attest the score. Regarding the 11 holes-in-one on a single round, that feat will only be repeated on putt-putt golf courses as most regulation-sized courses.

Sadly, the golfing world outside of North Korea has yet to accept this round of golf as legitimate.

a tragical caricature of these tragical times.
north korean people crying (and forced to cry by a tragical education and brain washing) in the streets is really incredibly sad.
we all deserve more, but north korean people deserve a lot more

Brain washed indeed but also they have to be seen to cry whether the tears are real or not. Not to be devastated would be a sign of disloyalty and attract punishment. This must be the sickest place on earth.

I don't think we're arguing politics, unless someone here wants to post the pro North Korean communist dictatorship point of view.

The first words all North Korean babies were taught to say were, "Thank you, Kim Il Sun, our Great Leader." What will North Korean babies' first words be now?

Let's not forget Korean Air Lines flight 858, that Kim Il Jung ordered terrorists to blow up midair in 1987, as it was, killing 104 passengers and 11 crew members. (It was a flight from Baghdad to Seoul.)

Probably "I'm hungry".

You are right, 71 Tele. North Korea is a human tragedy. Maybe there is a chance now to open up the country for international aid. We need to put some pressure on China to assist on this. Now or never!

I believe this 100% !

The man had practically unlimited time to practice his skill.
I mean, it's not like all his time was consumed by feeding his people or anything.

You are being most uncharitable. What with authoring several hundred books, writing operas, directing films, being responsible for numerous inventions and giving on the spot guidance to farmers, technicians, soldiers and just about everybody else there was very little time for golf. Just as well he was a natural.

Kim Jong-Il Doesn't Know How He Keeps Winning Lottery
JUNE 7, 2006 | ISSUE 42•23

PYONGYANG—After winning his ninth $10 million lottery jackpot in as many weeks, North Korean leader Kim Jong-Il continues to be "stunned" by his good luck. "Certainly the fates smile with a benevolent countenance upon myself, the most Exalted Supreme Leader-For-Life of the great nation of Korea!" said Kim, who acts as Chairman of the National Democratic Council, Commander of the National Defense Commission, Supreme Director of the North Korean Powerball and MegaMillions Lotteries, and General Secretary of the Worker's Party of Korea. "Truly, heaven has blessed me once again with great wealth, as well as the love of my people!" The dictator said the winnings come at a particularly fortuitous time, as he is currently broke after spending all of his previous eight jackpots on plutonium.
