For me band activity can't be disappointing. I wouldn't wait to gauge what they produce before judging whether they should have bothered. At their ages, I'm happy if they even try. I don't like much of A BIGGER BANG and am pretty critical of the last world tour, but I wouldn't say they should have retired either since plenty of people loved it, just not me. I'd rather set my expectations low and then be pleasantly surprised if 1.) they actually bother to work and 2.) if I actually enjoy the results. It's sort of like sex with your wife.

Mick Jagger is now back in London - that means all of them are there incl. Ronnie, Keith, Bill, Charlie and Mick T.....

London is a big city. First you need them all in one rehearsal hall at the same time with instruments in hand and then someone has to make sure they paid the electric bill before we should be getting excited. At this stage in their careers, that's more if's than we've been able to count on for quite awhile.

Let's not forget the four of them were together in one room a couple months back and all we got to show for it were some lousy paparazzi shots when they left.

Although the dissection of how the meeting went based on their expressions in unplanned photos and their gait while leaving the building and entering their respective limousines made for fascinating analysis.

It's cool that Bill is back, but to be honest I'd be even happier if they announced Ian McLagan was joining those jam sessions and Chuck "all smiles" Leavell is left tending his trees and keeping record of the Stones songs, keys and tempos in the background...

I'm sure its all Water under the bridge now..

Anyway it`s more than I/ we all could dream of if it`s actually happened and end in a tour
