I don't know what that proves.

Ever read the Hunter Davies book on The Beatles? When Davies was having dinner with John and Cynthia, he noticed John kept fidgeting with a loose tooth. So this tooth must be from late 1967. See what happens when you read too much about pop stars!

That's kind of strange. Seems like it should be in a museum if anything.

So the tooth was present for the Sgt Pepper sessions .... but not for the White Album.

Revealed: Dentist who introduced Beatles to LSD

Few of those many momentous nights enjoyed by the Beatles at the height of
their fame were to have more profound consequences than one spent at an
unprepossessing two-bedroom flat near London's Bayswater Place in April 1965.

It had been an inconsequential evening of socialising shared by George
Harrison, John Lennon, their wives Cynthia Lennon and Patti Boyd and George's
dentist, who had just drifted over their social horizon. Then the five,
accompanied by the dentist's wife, adjourned from the small dining room to the
lounge, where the dentist slipped LSD - a substance then as little known to the
Beatles as to most in Britain - into their coffees.

The details of George and John's introduction to the sense-enhancing drug have,
until now, remained one of the most enigmatic aspects of the band's history,
despite 1,000 books on the subject, as has the name of the man described only as
the "wicked dentist" by George in the one interview which relates a sense of the
event for the Beatles Anthology. In a new book the music writer, Steve Turner,
reveals the dentist to be John Riley, the son of a Metropolitan Police officer
who, after training as a cosmetic dentist in Chicago, became a dentist to the
stars.

No bites for Elvis tooth in eBay auction

A tooth said to have been pulled from Elvis Presley after an injury failed to
attract the minimum US$100,000 selling price on the eBay Web site by the time a
10-day auction ended, officials said on Saturday.

Frenzied, but ultimately fraudulent bidding briefly pushed the price above
US$2 million before eBay required potential buyers to register if they wanted to
place bids...

Though the dental artifact, which was packaged with shorn strands of the
crooner's hair, created an Internet frenzy -- 161,000 people viewed the web page
within 48 hours, DeFontes said -- no legitimate bids remained when the auction
ended shortly before midnight on Friday.

DeFontes said Briggs would likely break the tooth and hair into separate lots
and place both back on eBay early next week.

(elvis tooth dust! collectable! snortable!)

I think he means the tooth and hair would be sold separately, not that he was going to smash the tooth with a hammer and divvy up the powder.

No, because talent and creativity do not originate in one's DNA--Julian and Sean should be proof enough of that.

I would think so. But it was there for Revolver and Rubber Soul. Do those trump the White Album and Abbey Road? The most important question is..was it there for the Two Virgins album? I think it should matter to whomever bids on it...don't you?
