Huh? Don't mess with history. The cover is an unseparable part of the whole of the album.

The idea of replacing the cover of Let It Bleed is down there with the revised covers of the Hendrix albums that Alan Douglas foisted upon us in the '90s. We'd probably end up with a revised cover that looked like a psychedelic/pop art interpretation of a steaming whale snatch at that time of the month.

Then the thread would have no point ... I realize many here believe it to be fine as is, but many fans, me included, HATE it. Just 'cuz. For one, where's the blood? I like the redesign of "Beggars Banquet", but feel the insert should've had the RSVP cover, and the sh!tter on the outside as originally planned. I wonder if Corporate Head knew the Stones "peeing on the wall" story?

First off, WTF is "Let It Bleed", the song, about? The band, the times, both?

Let's pick: The Band. Whatever inner turmoil was at work in '69, ya gotta draw inspiration from another unused ( but ironically tragic yet great concept ) from another band from across the pond.

Put it this way: if The Stones wanted to push the buttons of decency with "Beggars", why not go farther with "Bleed"? I know: it wouldn't have worked. But we can play, yes?

Not from head to bottom,of course...there you´ll find the answer,why there´s no need to "create a new,better cover".

I agree. At first I was more amused than enthralled but the front/back
difference and all the accessories built in.....it's a wonderful cover that
conjures up something different every time I look at it. Just delve in...and
then there is the music inside....can't beat this.

They've always denied this. Besides, the Let It Be cover probably wasn't even done yet by the time Let It Bleed was released.

When I was like 9 or 10yo I passed in front of a taylor shop on my way to school and the guy had the cover on his window, I saw it everyday and it was the most amazing thing. Never did imagine that just a few years later the music inside would blow my mind.

There's nothing to improve, nathing to change.

Always wondered about this too, but the timing negates it.
