Here's an interesting fact from a page on their website about The History Of Ampex:
1970
Ampex starts it's own record label, Ampex Records.
Its biggest hit was "We Gotta Get You A Woman" by Todd Rundgren (as "Runt" ),
reaching #20 on the charts in 1970.
