Posted by: MingSubu ()
Date: July 5, 2011 16:30

Stone's songs with tremolo, or vibrato.

I'm a guitar nerd and just picked up another trem pedal. What Stone's songs have trem?

So,

Gimme Shelter
Heart Of Stone
Mona
The Lantern???
I Don't Know Why
Dance Little Sister
I Got the Blues???
Might As Well Get Juiced
Blinded By Rainbows
Singer Not the Song
Please Go Home
How Can I Stop
So Divine???
In Another Land
Citadel
I'm Free
Tie You Up???
Pain In My Heart
Goin Home

What about RS songs with a guitar tremolo arm (whammy bar), are there any?

That would be vibrato. Trem is a fluctuation of the volume and vibrato is fluctuation of the pitch. I think that I'm Free has vibrato.

Doesn't Keith's version of you win again on timeless have Tremelo?

The Singer not the Song - on the electric
Diddley Daddy
Please Go Home (on the vocals?)

There's one of those outtakes from the Trident Sessions that has a tremolo on a guitar, I think

What a drag it is they couldn't revive him"

Ronnie or Keith uses some tremelo on the Undercover album I believe. The solo on Tie You Up I think. Not sure of any others, although I do recall there being one on a live song on a live album. I think Ronnie more than Keith.

They don't use tremelo as a rule it seems. They're not big on whammy bars...

Let it Loose
Mona

Ronnie wears the whammy bar out on Hampton '81.

Ronnie on Undercover, Keith on Tie You Up.

Ronnie used the whammy bar quite often on the 81/82 tour.

Let It Loose is a Leslie if I'm not mistaken.

The solo on "Undercover" is whammy bar; not tremolo.

Is there slight tremolo on the guitar in "So Divine"? I would say, yes.

As already explained above, a whammy bar is not a tremolo.

I'm willing to guess that, to a non-guitar player. The tremolo/vibrato, whammy bar-thing can be confusing.

Just listened to 'I'm Free' and one of the guitars has a touch of tremolo...

I thought the vocal on In Another Land was through a Leslie.
