I thought Jaggerz singer Donnie Iris was also responsible for "Play That Funky Music White Boy"?
He joined the band right after they had that hit.
I call them a 2 hit wonder because to me Darkness Darkness was almost as big (in my eyes) and IMHO a much better song.

Joe has had several other Top 40 solo hits, notably, Rocky Mountain Way.
Perhaps we should disqualify anyone who's ever had a "Greatest hits" compilation album from being a one hit wonder.
Oh, hell. Now I'm going to wrack my brain all night trying to think of someone who's released a "greatest hits" album despite having had only one bona fide hit.
Turns out I only had to wrack my brain for a minute or two.
