I Can Help is a great tune by Billy Swan, a man famed for being one of Kris Kristofferson's sidemen, and also for writing Lover Please, which Clyde Macphatter had a hit with.
You should also check out Jerry Lee Lewis' version of I Can Help. Elvis did an identikit cover, but Jerry Lee does fairly well with it.

Sometimes the one hit wonder thing can me misleading. Madness is often referred to as a one hit wonder over here but they have two top forty hits and at least two other songs most people would know due to their exposure on MTV. I believe they have a bunch of hits over in the UK.
Cliff Richard is also considered a one hit wonder over here but was much bigger in the UK.
