Wonderful fan-made vid for the title track, my favorite track by far.
With the lyrics and lots of great pics. Hey, i'm finally starting to get
excited again about the return of SH, later this year I think. They're
just waiting I think for the Winos to finally get it together first.
That's been the plan for quite a while I think. For Keith to get on
the road with the Winos and show the moneymen, the media, and the fans
that he's still got it, and that any 50th tour would not just be a
cash-grab. Here's hoping...

Keith was supposed to have done the Winos thing ages ago. That's
the holdup. Keith figured that this time just like the last few times
he didn't have to keep his commitments and that Mick would just go on
the road anyway. But this time, its different. Mick will not tour with
the Stones unless and until Keith keeps every one of the commitments
he has made, in terms of writing new material for the Stones, and getting
a Winos album and tour organized.

Editorial: But if Keith can't or won't keep his commitments, then I really
wish he would retire and get out of the way. He's holding up SuperHeavy and
he's holding up Rod and Ronnie and the Faces.

"On top of running an ideas factory, the Grammy Award-winner who came to fame
as one half of the Eurythmics with Annie Lennox has his regular rock star
duties to attend to -- his upcoming album, "The Ringmaster General," features
duets with Alison Krauss, Jessie Baylin and Diane Birch (and Bobby Keys!);
he's just completed writing and recording Stevie Nicks and Joss Stone's
upcoming albums; and is contemplating the next move of SuperHeavy, the
band he formed with Stone, Mick Jagger, Damian Marley and A.R. Rahman."

Excerpted from a nice long article at [www.variety.com]

(Alright, Stones fans, here's the deal: Dave is desperate for your approval.
Besides writing and guitaring and recording six or seven albums of blues rock
over the last year, besides the skull ring, besides drinking too much, now
he's stealing Bobby Keys too
. Before he starts rolling over his Bentley
with his wife and kids inside it or falling out of a coconut tree, could
y'all please, for the sake of Dave's kids if nothing else, just say
you'd be okay with Mick working with him and releasing new Jagger music
constantly instead of once in a blue moon? Thank you. And here's your first
assignment: Give the poor guy a break and watch this 3-minute video)

I really enjoyed the superheavy album, but it was a 2011 one off. No future to talk about.

Yes...disappointed they made no effort to play a few dates live. The album just didn't find a market which was too bad because it was quite good.

This weekend! The new Bob Marley Documentary!

For his triumphant headlining performance with Dr Dre at Coachella this
weekend, Snoop Dogg wore a Bob Marley medallion proudly around his neck.
The rapper is a huge fan of the iconic singer, who died in 1981, and on
Wednesday he got to express his love and admiration for the Jamaican star
at a premiere of a film about his life.

And the 40-year-old hip hop auteur was joined by several members of Bob's
family, including three of his proud sons, 42-year-old Ziggy and Robbie and
Rohan, both 39. The film has had a tumultuous genesis; initially Martin
Scorsese
was slated to direct. However, Scorsese dropped out due to
scheduling problems and was replaced by Jonathan Demme, who then dropped
out due to creative differences with producer Steve Bing during the
beginning of editing. The Last King of Scotland director Kevin Macdonald
replaced Demme...

Rihanna just got to her hotel room in NYC. The staff had taken the time
to have her pillowcases specially embroidered. Since Keith uses the same
tagline, wonder if he gets the same treatment?

Love Superheavy, I've turned about 10 people onto this, people that are not really Stones fans and many of these people tell me its one of their favorite cds in years.

I can't believe I still haven't listened to it. I don't even remember the lead song or single or whatever. It didn't help that they did nothing with it, no appearances, nothing.
