This page is ridiculous. Satanism and the occult are two different things.
"Aleister Crowley (1875-1947) was without any doubt, one of the most notorious Satanists of his time."
Crowley was NOT a satanist.
Interesting website but factually incorrect.

It is purported that former president George H. Bush married the daughter of Aleister Crowley.... If this is true, and it is in all likelihood, then former President George W. Bush is the grandson of Aleister Crowley.
That story was an April Fool's prank a few years ago. Not true.

Far out, man, farrrrrrr outtttt. I want some of whatever sh*t this cat's been smokin'. Or maybe, it's peyote out there in Joshua Tree where we can reincarnate the spirit of Gram Parsons, if not Gram himself, so he and Keith can make the devil's music together. Then, we can all read passages from "Don Juan, A Yaqui Way of Knowledge". And as we lie on our backs staring up at the night sky, lost in cosmic trailings, musing on the stars, we can wonder just who sits at Zeus's right hand. Unbelievable the head trip bullsh*t people some people embrace.

I haven't been able to visit the site provided in the above link... I had to laugh when my corporate computer warned "Web Access Caution!

Restricted Access to Non-Business Websites

The website you want to access has been identified as a restricted site as it does not fall within the business scope of ..."

I guess I should probably quit multi-tasking and get back to work.

Peace,
Mr DJA

Who is the jackass who made that page? There are so many problems with his "facts" one doesn't know where to begin. He obviously has no clue as to metaphor, irony, or subtlety. Yeah, a real spiritual giant!

I do not believe in these things but imho it is obvious that Glimmer twins (at least) believe/have believed in it (is prety clear in KR Life book by the way).I do not care about their politics or religious stand. I just care about their music and tours. Apart from that is apparent their adherence to those beliefs which they developed in sophisticated ways (not as clumsier as some people would think)

OK, so we've narrowed it down to British...is he Scottish, English or Welsh?

The guy takes the lyrics to Dancin' with Mr. D. seriously, Mick and Keith expressing their beliefs. OK.

These are the same people who believe that the Flintstones is a documentary, that the earth is 5,000 years old, man lived with dinosaurs and fossils were put here by "god" to trick us. Uppermost, they hate gay people and are frantic to have the law in the US reflect the views of their cults.

Hedonists rather, or epicurists. Men that regards self-indulgence as the highest of virtues. Especially Sir Michael but also Bill. Not so much Keith though. And certainly not Charlie.

Okay...but do they deny or confirm it?

"When you're drunk in the alley, baby, with your clothes all torn
And your late night friends leave you in the cold gray dawn.
Just seemed too many flies on you, I just can't brush them off.
Angels beating all their wings in time,
With smiles on their faces and a gleam right in their eyes."

Very similar to Amazing Grace...
Amazing grace! How sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me!
I once was lost, but now am found;
Was blind, but now I see.

Of course, but apart from setlist feuds and stuff (that I really appreciate - don´t get me wrong!)

it´s always good to have a laugh sometimes...

Especially, as the Stones are playing the peasant grounds on this tour...

May the good Lord shine a light on you,
Make every song (you sing) your favorite tune.
May the good Lord shine a light on you,
Warm like the evening sun.

I think I heard you wrong. Are you saying that Keith does not hold self-indulgence in high esteem? Do you know how much heroin he was holding in Toronto when he was arrested?

Sure, Turner. You are right in a way. But being an addict is more of a weakness or a lack of control. The addict can't help himself. As opposed to Jagger who has always been in control.

And, as often happens, he's taking Mr D to mean the Devil, rather than (as is obviously the case) Death.

Halfway down the writer goes into a tangent about the Bush family being evil. Ha! The writer is talking half truths then making dig up. Good for a laugh. I've seen better articles with substantiated arguments. This is just plain funny!

«I wasn't really able to quit drugs before the 90s» (Mick)

That's over 20 years of some solid control he must have had winking smiley

It was cool several decades ago.

These days, postmodern, postindustrial, postchristian times.....nobody cares about this. I for one dont care. But it is absurd deny that Glimmer Twins like/liked this strange belief.
