Nice poster, no SF song, maybe that means they're planning a long special long set already?

Voted for SFM.

I predicted Sticky Fingers fan vote. I was wrong. However, SFM never disappoints.

I think it will be the same kind of set they did in Europe last year. Hopefully i´m wrong, these four songs have been on the voting list many times before.

It sucks. With the exception of club/theatre gigs, they use to play whip for about one or two shows/tour. I really hope we wont get the "standard" set only. I have my doubts flying to Orlando & Nashville if that´s the case first couple of shows.

WHIP since it been played the fewest times since 2012. SFM is not too sharp when they play it nowadays unfortunately.

They did a great version of SFM at HP2 2013.

Yes, HP2 2013 was great. But it doesn't compare to any of the versions they opened their shows with 2002-2003.

I know, according to some, they suck, they blow, no MT etc. What songs, however do they play sharp enough nowadays that someone would like to vote for off of this fan vote list for SD?

I would like to vote for:

No Expectations
Shine A Light
Shattered
Waiting On A Friend
Around And Around
I Wanna Be Your Man

Those songs were brilliant 2012-13.

Off of this particular SD list:

LSTNT - After the BTB-tour it kind of drags when played live.
GOOMC - Been played too many times the last years.
SFM - Great live, but not as good as it used to be.
WTWCM - Somewhat slower than before but still really great in 2013.

Since the results are decided before anyone votes you can bet the "winner" will be Whip because they played it on Wednesday...winking smiley

Isn't it? I think it's one of the songs they still do best.

Agreed. The versions I heard in Shanghai especially and also Hyde Park were incredibly powerful. So San Diego should be in for a real treat if they play that. But I voted for Whip because it's been played less than SFM. Just to encourage them, you know... winking smiley

Yes, they still play SFM very good no doubt about it. But the way the played it as an opener on the Licks tour was lightyears better.

Listen to how they played Whip in 2013, not any worse than versions of the past, maybe even better:

They also played Get Off Of My Cloud better the last years than on the bigger bang-tour.

I simply can't listen to newer versions of Street Fighting Man without thinking about how much better it sounded 10 years ago.

I've missed this charade. Even BV said during the Tokyo shows last year it was a marketing ploy and they play what they want...

The Blockbuster

I would like to vote for:

I Wanna Be Your Man

Those songs were brilliant 2012-13.

I never thought, I would see, in print, the word brilliant to describe any version EVER for the Song Shattered.

The band sounds best on the songs that rely the least on the backing musicians. Midnight Rambler, SFM, Little Queenie (better be on the webvote in Nashville!), etc... Get Off My Cloud has been performed really well on this tour. Whip is a great song, but the version posted above is all vocals and drums, barely any guitars in it.

Hopefully they'll put Ronnie upfront in the mix like he deserves. The man is the most underappreciated guitarist in the world, due to the fact that he is put in the house mix at roughly 60% of Keith's volume. No wonder people thought he wasn't playing on several tours. Heck, listen to Whip from MSG III 98. Ronnie is so far in the background it is painful.
