Why are you so troubled,
twenny, it is kind of interesting that every one of your last 90 post have ONLY been about this topic, and over one third, 90/270, of the posts on this thread are from you.

Max, I know I know. But none of the posts on any other thread are by me.
there are no superheavy fans in existence but me. let me have my fun.
some people find me entertaining. what is with you people? is it costing
you anything to ignore me? IGNORE ME PLEASE.

wow, i never said super heavy, sorry, SUPERHEAVY, will be a failure. so how are we in agreement? i don't understand where you got that from. all i've been doing is questioning the nature of your promotional messages and wondering how much you're getting paid. but hey, if you want to continue promoting this thing, go ahead. post more videos, maybe tell us more about Joss Stone's mom's diner or what her favourite brand of antiperspirant is. keep earning that paycheque! i feel bad for finding enjoyment from someone who is off their rocker but whatever, it's not like i'm going to bump into you on the street (which is where you would be if it weren't for this message board, spreading the gospel at some public square?). anyways, keep going! it's great! SUPERHEAVY! @#$%& YEAH!!

so maybe this is an ego thing, as well. let's say this new band takes off and is super popular all over the world, twenny revlights will come back here and say "see! i told you all! you didn't believe me at first but the revolution happened!". so apart from the money collected from the promotional messages there is also the psychological issue, a case of the "i told you so" ego trip.

Pretty sure Rev's efforts are evangelical only, no monetary compensation from Universal despite my jokes. Dig up his archived posts at StonesDoug's site about the Stones' 50th anniversary album and tour. It was incredibly detailed right down to predicting songs that would be recorded for the album and who would sing what in the tour setlist. He was pushing for Mick, Keith, Ronnie, Darryl, Bernard, Blondie, and Lisa to all have lead vocal turns on different songs. An amazingly detailed fantasy that was truly a work of art to behold. While the rest of us are fettered by some degree of reality, the right Rev knows no such bounds.

Is he a kook? Sure, but have fun with the guy. As fervent as his posts appear, every once in awhile he'll let his guard down and you'll see it's hilarious fun for him, too. Meantime, enjoy his "insider" knowledge, unique perspectives, and best of all his peeks inside Mick's mind. The Rev is a genius and as such cannot function among normal society, but excels in his area of expertise. Maintain a healthy distance and you'll enjoy him. Get too close and you'll be sucked into the maelstorm of his madness.

twenny revlights, if you're asking for people to ignore you then why can't you do the same and ignore me? is it because i'm calling you out and making you look bad? if that's the case, then i apologize. also, there's a simple way to put an end to my "idiotic repetitive accusations" and that is for you to answer and say "no, i'm not being paid." or "okay, i admit it, i'm being paid". it's easy. answer the accusation and the case will be closed.

i think the name is a topic worth discussing, but i dont have anything

By a nice coincidence, Justine1900 just published the link at Shidoobee.

And, if Keith had kept his promises to Mick, to work hard on new music
over the last four years, it is very approximately what we would all
be getting ready for just about now.

Rev20 was badly bashed last night (australian time) and is hospitalized.
But he is resting comfortably, and is expected to recover fully. In the
meantime, he has asked me to tell you this:

COMING SOON TO THIS SPACE.

THE SUPERHEAVY COMPATIBILITY TEST.

FIND OUT THE TRUTH ABOUT SUPERHEAVY IN LESS THAN 15 MINUTES.

ALL FROM THE COMFORT OF YOUR SILK-UPHOLSTERED CHAIR.

COMING SOON TO THIS SPACE.

They've decided to keep Rev20 in hospital at least another night. A slight
infection, but nothing to be worried about, we're told. He's a bit doped
up, so we don't know how seriously to take what he's been telling us, and
we're not even sure we understand, but he says to tell y'all, so we've got to
at least try. Frankly, its a little worrying, because we think he might be
imagining himself to be Mick Jagger again, just a little, now and again when
he's going in and out of that morphine haze. So, anyway, what he said is, in
very poor imitation of Mick's accent, "15 minutes is too much to ask, they've
given me so much money. It has to be no more than four minutes." We think
that means his 15-minute SUPERHEAVY compatibility test will have to be
redesigned down to 4 minutes, but there's no way for us to be sure, since
we don't know what he had in mind for the 15-minute test.

So that's basically it. Oh, except for right before he dropped off to
sleep again, when instead of Mick's accent, his voice suddenly got strong
and he blared out in a perfect Jamaican accent: "Yes I! Rasta, come forward!"

Anyway, we'll update you again as soon as we have something. We all want him
to go stay with his girlfriend for a few days when he gets out of hospital.
He's been basically ignoring her because of SUPERHEAVY and she's upset and
we think it might help chill him out a bit, like what some of you have said
he needs. The problem is that Rev and her do not share a lot of the same
interests, or lifestyle, so they've never even considered living together.
They party and snuggle and party and snuggle on weekends. Otherwise, she
mostly milks cows and works on cars, rebuilding engines and stuff like that.
Her favorite performer is Reba Macintyre.

Peace y'all!

I am his friend but I did not know about "Rev". He wrote the two messages I sent. I do not know what this is all about. He told me not to tell his girlfriend or anybody so I do not know what to do. They have taken him to Melbourne hospital because of the infection. I am just here to shut down his computer. Thank you.

Can someone please explain why fans are pissed about this "supergroup", but totally fine about the Winos?

Re: Mick Jagger's "Supergroup"?

What fans are pissed about the supergroup? All I've seen is folks wishing that Mick and Keith only work together or having an open mind about the project until they hear it.

There were folks who might have thought uploading Youtube videos of Damian Marley rapping and concluding that because he has more hits on Youtube than a Don Kirshner show from 40 years ago, one can safely conclude that Damian is clearly the frontman and lyricist of SUPERHEAVY (CAPS LOCK is mandatory)...and from there to speculate on how if we want even a chance of Mick working with the Stones again we'd better be prepared to suck SUPERHEAVY's dick dry...and from there to say negativity on IORR coupled with Keith's negativitiy killed the Stones by breaking Mick's tender heart...and from there to conclude with a self-obsessed rant about how the individual has moved on and embraced Damian Marley and Joss Stone's music at the exclusion of the Stones who are, after all, old farts these days but then the rest of us don't mix with A-list Hollywood heavyweights...and then finally to declare that like Greta Garbo, he only vants to be alone so please pay no heed.

If frustration with all of that leads you to believe someone is pissed about SUPERHEAVY, then I believe I'm ready to guess your secret identity.

'cuz Mick is the rock, and Keith is the roll baby.

But seriously, there is no good reason. We should leave Mick alone...I'm looking forward to this, particularly if we get the Some Girls Deluxe release close behind it. An interesting 2010 in terms of releases, AND 2011.

Mick Jagger’s ‘Such a Regular Guy’
Bryan Wawzenek | 06.02.2011
Earlier this year, when Mick Jagger was tapped to pay tribute to late soul legend Solomon Burke at the Grammys, the rock star picked an unlikely choice to join him on guitar. Not his fellow Rolling Stone Keith Richards or past collaborator Lenny Kravitz – but former Tony! Toni! Toné! member Raphael Saadiq. The R&B/rock guitarist recently spoke to Spinner.com about his time with Mick.

“When Mick Jagger called me, it was just kind of funny – because it’s Mick Jagger,” he said. “He’s a blues guy, that’s what I grew up playing, so it was kind of surreal because he’s such a regular guy. Even though he’s like the Holy Grail to what he does, he doesn’t come off like that.”

Saadiq said that, musically, Jagger was a perfect fit for the situation.

“That’s why he's so dope, because he just walks in, hops out the car, says ‘what up’ to the whole band real cool, picks up a harmonica and starts blowin’ some Howlin’ Wolf,” he said. “It don’t get no better than that. So, getting the phone call is funny, because it takes a British guy to come all the way to America to find me and say ‘Let’s do the Grammys,’ when I wouldn't have got that call from the Grammys to say ‘come play with Mick.’ Mick called me and said, ‘Let’s go to the Grammys’ and didn’t tell the Grammys, just said, ‘I’m taking you, let’s roll.’”
